I liked the location and property. Stag were all helpful and courteous. Only negative is I felt the breakfast was a bit weak for the price. Also would have preferred coffee and cappuccino at my table instead of self serve.

Beautiful hotel, great location for sightseeing, great breakfast. Only set back was the lack of information about parking. Ended up driving round and then parking in a public car park as the hotel car park was not marked and no instructions given.

Perfection

Staff were super attentive and engaged and very pleasant at every interaction. It’s definitely a more traditional city hotel which is rather a relief after so many modern boutique-style hotels. Bar, restaurant and breakfast service were all excellent - as well as bell staff and reception. Housekeeping was fast and thorough and the refreshments station in the ground floor lounge was very welcome - location is great with short walk to the funicular, or metro access immediately adjacent to the hotel on the main avenue.

The hotel is very old but was likely incredible during its heyday. Our room was spacious and clean. The front desk people were efficient but not friendly. We attempted to book airport transfers through the hotel but did not get help making those arrangements prior to arrival. If I return to Lisbon, I will find another property in the same area. The residual smell of cigarette smoke and the dated carpet along with the lack of communication from the staff about the transfer cause three strikes for me.
