Dales Cottage tradicional con impresionantes vistas,

Westbrook House es una casa de campo adosada ubicada en una tranquila aldea que no se conduce por Newbiggin en Bishopdale. Hay estacionamiento fuera de la carretera en la parte delantera de la propiedad.

Data de 1742 y tiene muchas características tradicionales, como las vigas originales. Arriba hay dos dormitorios. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama extra grande con un colchón de espuma viscoelástica. Las características incluyen un techo abovedado con vigas a la vista. También hay un televisor y hermosas vistas tanto en la parte delantera como trasera de la propiedad.

El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama doble hecha de roble macizo con dos mesitas de noche. La habitación también tiene vigas a la vista y hermosas vistas a la parte trasera de la propiedad.

A lo largo de un pasillo hay un baño grande y espacioso con bañera / ducha y una gran unidad de lavamanos. También hay un calentador de pared si se requiere calor adicional.

En la planta baja, hay un acogedor tercer dormitorio con una cama doble de latón.

El salón principal tiene dos sofás con capacidad para 5 personas. También hay una estufa de combustible múltiple que puede quemar tanto carbón como troncos (todos los cuales están incluidos en el precio). También hay un gran televisor Full HD de 4k, una caja Humax FREESAT, un reproductor de DVD y una selección de DVD. Banda ancha y WiFi gratis también se proporcionan de forma gratuita. Hay jardines en la parte delantera y trasera de la propiedad. El área del jardín delantero está en gran parte pavimentada y con tinas de flores y arbustos. También hay un peral junto a la casa misma. También recibe mucho sol por la mañana y temprano en la tarde, por lo que es un área agradable para sentarse y tomar una copa por la mañana e incluso conversar con los transeúntes. El jardín trasero es mucho más grande, con mucho espacio para pasear y un césped que se inclina hacia un campo. También hay una mesa de metal con seis sillas para sentarse, comer y disfrutar de la impresionante vista del Dale.

Beautiful and relaxing stay

The house is beautiful and well kitted out with everything you should need. The mattress in the main bedroom was very comfy and provided such a good night's sleep and being woken by bird song (although early) was lovely. The bathroom was very luxurious and the towels provided were very thick and good quality. The owner was great at communication and answered all questions promptly. We would happily rebook.

Short break with friends

Had a lovely stay at the cottage that felt very much like home. Absolutely beautiful views from the garden. Just wish there had been a bar b q. Perfectly situated to get out and about with a great choice of castles, waterfalls and coffee shops to visit. The host is always on hand if needed. The cottage was well equipped definitely a wonderful find

Peaceful retreat

We had an amazing stay. The house was so peaceful and comfortable yet within walking distance of a pub and with beautiful walks from the door. Phil could not have been more helpful, we would love to return!!

Fabulous - Quiet and Relaxing

Westbrook House was a wonderfully quiet and relaxing place to stay. With beautiful views over the dales and being serenaded by the sweet sounds of the various birdsongs, it was a quiet oasis for us to relax. The house itself was perfect. It was clean, had all of the advertised amenities and was consistent with the pictures provided in the listing. The kitchen is well equipped and has the full compliment of conveniences needed to function effectively (ie, washer and dishwasher tablets, wax paper, cling film, seasonings and oil, plenty of pots , pans and baking trays/dishes, etc, etc).The bathroom was terrific. Beautiful clawfoot bath, plenty of hot water with good pressure in the shower and a terrific set up for night lighting with sensor baseboard lighting. Communication with the owners was seamless and easy. During our visit, Phil (owner) visited the property to do some yard maintenance and was very considerate of us during that time. We were interested in the property and area and Phil was more than happy to answer our many questions. He was a pleasure to interact with and our exchanges with him enhanced our visit. The Yorkshire Dales itself was a lovely place to visit. The property is located within easy driving distance of the local attractions, restaurants and pubs and towns for sourcing supplies for cooking at home. And there were plenty of walking paths available too. Great stay. Recommend and would return if in the area again (visiting from Australia).

Cosy cottage with stunning views

This was our second visit to this lovely cottage and it won't be our last. Very cosy clean cottage with everything you need. The garden is beautiful with great views of the dales. Very handy for the street head Inn pub who does great food . Nice walks straight from the door in the surrounding hills and into west burton. Great communication with our host Phil who made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay which was very helpful. We will be back

Fabulous views

We loved our stay in this quaint little cottage and the views from the rear of the property were just beautiful. The whole area is very pretty and this was a perfect location to venture out from. Phil and Lisa are very friendly and accommodating - highly recommended.

Restful and relaxing weekend away

We had a wonderful break at Westbrook House. The cottage worked really well for us and views both from the back and front of the house were stunning. There is plenty to do and walks directly from the house. Farm shops and tearooms and little towns to explore as well as hills to climb are in abundance. There is a local pub a short walk away. We particularly enjoyed the garden and listening to the birds. The house was well equipped and Phil provided all the information we needed for a great stay. Would have just liked to have stayed longer!

Excellent Dales Cottage

If you like old buildings, well maintained and fitted with a smart hotel stylish bathroom, excellent view over the dale, this is the one. It is in the hamlet of Newbiggin on a quiet road amongst other attractive cottages. Loads of space for 2, 4 would be fine but I think 6 adults would rather cosy in the lounge and with just one loo & bathroom, albeit a very smart one.

A very special place to stay

We had a wonderful few days at Westbrook House. The view is amazing and the cottage is really well kitted out with everything you could possibly need. The bathroom and kitchen are new and the whole layout of the cottage is well thought through. The garden is well maintained with loads of birdlife. The house is in a lovely part of the Dales - centrally located but just away from the busier areas. West Burton, the nearby village has a shop selling local cheeses. There are plenty of pubs nearby that we would have tried if we had stayed longer, but it was just lovely to sit in the garden with a cup of tea or glass of wine. There are several beautiful walks from the doorstep. We very much hope to return soon.

Beautiful cottage and superb location

Absolutely loved our stay. Cottage very cosy and very well equipped and clean. Excellent location. Only down side was it did not have a downstairs toilet so a queue sometimes with 4 adults staying there. The cottage does have a storage area under stairs with a window which could be utilised for this if owner was inclined to convert. Owner was really helpful - excellent communication by email and telephone. Will definitely stay again!

Lovely home in the Dales

We stayed here for Christmas and the home was perfect for what we needed. All the rooms are bigger than expected and the bathroom is really nice. Everything was clean throughout and the plentiful supply of wood for the fire was great over the Christmas break. We would certainly stay again and recommend to others.

What a place!

From the very first contact from Phil to the minute we left everything was perfect. Excellent communications, great instructions for check in, stunning location but wow oh wow... the cottage was the best we have stayed in. If it was for sale I'd buy it in a heart beat. Lovely cosy cottage

Excellent communication from Phil before, during and after our stay. Really made us feel welcome. Great location for accessing the Yorkshire Dales. There was a nearby pub within walking distance and it was great to visit Aysgarth Falls and Malham. A cosy cottage which was well equipped. Would highly recommend.

Ideal location for an overdue getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay at Westbrook House. It was both spacious and cosy, and very well-equipped. Phil was a thoughtful and attentive host, checking in on us on a day when the weather was particularly bad. The self-service check-in and check-out processes were smooth and straightforward. The Internet connection is excellent, and the stove in the lounge works really well. It's particularly pleasing that the fuel for the stove is included. The location is perfect - extremely quiet and with excellent views across Bishopdale from the back of the house. The garden is lovely, although we didn't spend a great deal of time in it. We very much enjoyed watching the birds using the bird feeder(s) by the lounge window. The Ordnance Survey map centred on the house was a nice touch. We did several good walks from the house leading to good views of neighbouring dales.

Lovely stay in Newbiggin

Had a really lovely week in Phil's cottage. Super comfortable with beautiful views, and some lovely walks (and pubs) from the front door. Would definitely stay again!
