Cabaña rústica actualizada en el corazón del país alto de los Apalaches

Nuestra pequeña cabaña de vacaciones está situada entre las colinas de la cadena de los Apalaches y fue construida en la década de 1940 como la casa de un granjero inquilino. Se encuentra en nuestra propiedad de 15 acres, cuesta arriba, escondida y detrás de la gran granja antigua donde vivimos mi esposo y yo. Es un lugar tranquilo y privado. Puedes mirar los pájaros y ver las estrellas. La cabaña está rodeada de pastizales y una cosecha de árboles de Navidad más arriba en la colina.
Estamos ubicados en el condado de Ashe, en la esquina noroeste de Carolina del Norte, muy cerca de la línea estatal de Virginia. Una unidad de quince minutos lo llevará al Parque Estatal Grayson Highlands, y una unidad de veinte minutos a White Top, White Top Mountain, donde hay acceso al sendero de los Apalaches, el extremo superior de Virginia Creeper Bike Trail y Mount Rogers. El New River y el New River Park no están muy lejos. Helton Creek, popular para la pesca, está justo al otro lado de la carretera. Si te gusta la música antigua y la hierba azul, hay muchos festivales de música cercanos durante los meses de verano.
La pequeña ciudad más cercana es West Jefferson, donde los visitantes disfrutan paseando entre pequeñas tiendas, cafeterías, una fábrica de queso que está abierta al público, una cervecería y un pequeño museo en el antiguo edificio de la corte. This is the second visit to this property. I enjoyed my stay there as much as the first time. Really like that it's a quiet peaceful place with birds, deer, rabbits and a nice view. The spring/stream running beside the house is great to listen to. The lightening bugs are also a hit with us. It's nice that the kitchen has small appliances, and also a few things in the bathroom that you may need. Plan on going back again, hope it's not 4 years before I can do it. I really like this place.

We loved our stay! It is so beautiful and so peaceful on this lovely farm. The cabin was very well stocked, comfy beds and everything we needed for a hiking weekend in Grayson Highlands. Just book it!

Girls Weekend for Trail Run at Grayson

Perfect location for our trail race, very comfortable cabin, beds very comfortable, had all necessary supplies and extra to make stay enjoyable. Loved seeing the deer and cows while sitting on the front porch. WiFi was great! Very happy with stay.

Relaxing stay in the mountains

We enjoyed our stay in this rustic cabin. Great with two bedrooms and two baths. Easy access to Grayson Highlands SP and the Boone/West Jefferson area. Host was responsive and helpful throughout.

Fantastic stay and service

Host is extremely communicative and makes the stay easy. Had a last second adjustment, she was able to help, and was very fast to respond making the process very smooth. Love this part of the country. Have stayed here twice and will likely stay here again.

Late October Hiking Trip

Lovely cabin - I rented this for myself, a friend, and my dog for a 2-day hiking trip. I appreciate that each of bedroom had its own bathroom and that there was a little trail up the hill where I could walk my dog. We had a little snafu with internet availability in the unit, but it ended up not being an issue because hiking took up most of our day. Communication with the hosts was excellent. Ben kindly drove the route to Grayson Highlands Park ahead of my trip to verify the roads were clear after the area was hit by flooding - as Grayson had reopened by that point - and he also helped us with directions while we were getting in the first night. They did warn us cell coverage would be spotty and it was. My friend had Verizon and I had AT&T and we each only had one bar, but it was usually enough to get directions locked into Google Maps before the app switched into offline mode. Overall it was a lovely stay. We hiked Grayson and the Channels and seeing the stars on the hill behind the property, without light pollution or trees to block the sky, was beautiful.

A Hidden Gem in the Mountains!

My husband and I plus our dog Bodie recently stayed at this charming mountain cabin, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the cows next door and the cool mountain air. The cabin itself is the perfect blend of cozy and rustic, with every detail thoughtfully curated. Sister Time

We enjoyed the cabin. A mix up on dates so when we arrived the cabin had not been cleaned. However the owner was very responsive and reimbursed our cleaning fee. So we were pleased. The lady that came to clean was very friendly. The cabin could use a few modifications (nothing major) for example it would be nice to have a full length mirror inside the cabin, the furniture in the living room is outdated and not to comfortable after a long hike and the table on the front porch needs replacing, The cabin was supplied with all necessities and that was extremely helpful The showers were great and bed was very comfortable. My sister and I truly enjoyed our time away hiking at Grayson Highlands, visiting Jefferson and just relaxing at the cabin.

Beautiful mountain cabin

Great place to stay, very nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. It’s very peaceful and private, you can sit outside on two seperate decks, on the one in the back we enjoyed breakfast and in the evening we used the barbecue. Lots to do in the area, and so nice to have such a beautiful place to come home to after a busy day!
