Amazing place - stay here! Well stocked little kitchen and amenities inside are wonderful - robes, slippers, soaps, TV, shower, etc. Very, very comfortable with great views. What made it extra special was the staff - they serve free breakfast to your room in the morning or in their lobby restaurant. Since the times for breakfast service didn't work for us, they personally delivered a full continental breakfast to us the night before so we could put it in the refrigerator and have what we needed in the morning. Highly recommend staying here!

Magical view of the lake and the stars. The room was well appointed with a comfortable bed and a great shower and tub. But, the best part of the day, was sitting in our comfy chairs just looking out at the magnificent view of the lake, then opening the skylight at night to view the stars from our bed-magical. We would highly recommend staying at the Galaxy in Lake Tekapo.

the room was spotless, the staff was courteous the building is newly built (looks like), built like a motel where the rooms have individual entries; the room/BR design is modern; there is a modern bathtub, the BR fixtures are modern; the bed is comfortable, the pillows fluffy; there is a sun/moon roof with push button controls; there is a fridge, kitchen wares, water bottles in the fridge were free; the room overlooks Lake Tekapo which is a great view in the morning; free breakfast with unlimited but reasonable quantities, room delivery is an option; Laundry is available upon request with separate charges: this hotel is somewhat pricey and the only one thing that didn't match the price are the towels- they were not fluffy, they felt worn, they don't look "new" white, I rate this hotel 4/5

My son left his camera on the coffee table in the reception area. Your staff kept it away safely for us and so grateful to recover it back subsequently! Awesome property with a good view of the lake. My room was quite small. Two twin beds and a table with two chairs, plus the wall unit with the TV. That’s it. Parking area is tight as well. But the breakfast delivered to my room so I could eat it while enjoying the view was much appreciated. Plus the menu variety and food quality were great. And did I mention that view? Lol
