The ball staff do not speak English, the restaurant staff also speak very little English, the reception staff clearly struggle to understand English, this is acceptable if you stay in a local hotel, but the Hilton is an international hotel, and I’ve never experienced a Hilton Hotel Where. I’ve struggled to communicate.

La comida en el hotel es mala, sin sabor, un menú muy pequeño para estadías de una semana, no hay menú de cenas ni menú especial para fines de semana u otras fechas. El sabor en general es malo y de baja calidad y esto lo comprobamos ya que al salir a comer a otros sitios en los alrededores pudimos comer muy delicioso. Estuvimos 7 días en el hotel y solamente una oocasión la comida fue rica y eso porque el chef Alexander salió a saludarnos y le explicamos que habíamos una mala experiencia con la comida entonces él tuvo la amabilidad de poner su atención y esmero en ese momento y entonces todo fue bastante rico. Por otra parte, fue hasta la última noche que nos dimos cuenta que el carrito de golf estaba a disposición de los huespedes para ir a la playa de Caletas o para salir del hotel, es increíbe que todos los días anteriores pagamos por ttransporte de taxi y hasta una vez salimos caminando, esto deja mucho que desear del servicio al cliente. Pensé que los hoteles hilton tenían un estándar de calidad a nivel mundial pero ahora veo que no es así y me voy muy decepcionado del Hilton La Romana. Rescato por su excelente trato a la Srita Carmen, mesera del restaurante quien nos atendió de maravillosa forma y siempre con una linda sonrisa.

This is definitely a Hilton. Spectacular location. I was not impressed with some of the food. Did not expect that from a Hilton. We had a group of 10 and 3 people had to send back there meal. We were comped without arguing. I invited the other 9 and it was embarrassing. Other than than we had had a wonderful stay.

Dinner service terrible. Long delays to order and longer delays for food. Food was cold and soggy. Staff pretty much ignored tables. No hot water in shower. AC kept shutting off Breakfast service a little better but food quality mediocre. Made error in original reservation date and paid for stay I didn’t use. Paid 3x for updated date. No consideration Would Not stay here again.

After 12/19/25 hotel check-in, I was given a memo stating that a "private event" would be held on the premises the following evening. This said event was an extremely loud MAJOR CONCERT, which took place outside of our room from approx 9:00 p.m. until 6:30 a.m. The concert noise level was so loud it should have been held in a sound-proof building and not outside our room. Additionally, the preparations for the concert took hotel staff away serving paying guests, as orders were either not taken or were extremely slow at best. The hotel manager, Oscar, was sympathetic to listen to our complaints but there wasn't anything that could be done to correct the problems. place right outside of our room.
