The Good: The rental was cheap, there were many appliances in the house, they were flexible on letting us check in early, the management staff were nice, there was an outdoor shower with a plastic tub to rinse off after diving, & a clothes line in the back which was useful for drying off wet clothes. The Bad: It was unclear from the VRBO description that the rental is in a shared compound with 4 other rental houses & the entire outdoor space is communal, so no privacy outside. Although we reserved one of the rental houses, they put us in a different one because they were remodeling which wasn't a big deal, but it would've been nice to know ahead of time. The main gate to the compound needed to stay closed because of donkeys, but it was manual requiring you to physically slide it open & closed each time. The gate was very heavy. Everything seemed slightly worn down with visible damage to doors, stone walkways, etc. The little minor issues added up like a leaking water pitcher, no clothes dryer, an improperly mounted ceiling fan in a bedroom that hit one of the beams when turned on which seemed unsafe, no ceiling fan or air conditioning in the main living area which made it warm/hot in that area, pillows that smelled used, the outdoor shower has a timed push button rather than a knob which required you to continuously hit the button, no area to hang dive gear near the outdoor showers, the tub was dirty, & didn't provide soap, shampoo, dish soap, sponges, or extra trash bags.
