We had a lovely stay at the Fuji View Hotel. You can choose a room facing either Mt. Fuji or Lake Kawaguchi, though the actual view depends on the weather. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide range of both Japanese and Western options. The hotel is easily accessible from Kawaguchiko Station via a free hourly shuttle or the Saiko sightseeing bus that stops nearby every 30 minutes. Located away from the town center, the hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere with plenty of walking paths and beautiful surroundings. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

The name did not disappoint, great view of Mount Fuji. The grounds were meticulously groomed. This was my first visit to Japan so I was quite out of sorts. Given that, the staff was friendly and helpful patient despite some challenges with the language gap. The room was clean, well equipped with amenities and everything worked. The onsen also was a new experience for which which I found enjoyable. I have nothing to compare it to, but this one seemed nice. For anyone looking to do a Fuji excursion, relax for a view days, or have a romantic weekend, I highly recommend. However if you are looking for late night dinners, and walkable things to do, this may not be the best option.

Home away from home .

The staff are exceptional : genuine and respectful. The staff welcomes us every year when we return. After we climb the Mt Fuji and unable to walk further from our car to the main door, the staff will greet us from afar and help us with the luggage’s, not for tips but for their professionalism and values they cherish much.

What a lovely place to enjoy Fuji views and beautiful surroundings at Lake Kawaguchi. We had a wonderful stay. Didn’t have a car so used the shuttle daily to get to town and back. Also the green line bus that stops just a block or so away. The Onsen is delightful. Breakfast buffet is sumptuous - and recommended since there are almost no shops or restaurants nearby. The observation room was perfect for relaxing and viewing Mt Fuji. Room was small but comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Just a wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience.

Stayed to climb Mt Fuji and this was arguably the best decision we made using Fuji View as a base. From start to finish the service and experience was arguably the best I have encountered in 40 years of travel.
