Historic mountain lodge with the space and amenities to cook at home. Unfortunately, we were only passing through, so did not have time to enjoy all the amenities the lodge had to offer.

Do not follow service dog regulations

I travel with a service animal and the front desk lady told me that my service animal could not walk on the floor in the lobby other than to go directly to my room. I will not be staying here again. Ended up checking out early.

This 1-star is review is because of Expedia's error with this listing and not the hotel. Expedia gave me the wrong hotel address, which led me to a remote area with no cell service. When I finally found the hotel, staff said this happens often and they’ve repeatedly asked Expedia to fix it — but nothing’s changed. This isn’t just inconvenient, it’s dangerous. Expedia needs to update the listing ASAP.

I came here with my teen aged kids, 19 and 15. What a relief when we walked into the lobby and we all shared the same sentiment (this place is magical). Then we got to our room, and the kids said "good job mom". There was complimentary root beer floats in the lobby, something different each evening. Everything is walkable. I am really doing this review with apprehension as i want to keep this place a secret and to myself. It is warm, friendly, welcoming, helpful, kind and just all around extremely hospitable (rules - for the environment). I travel 100,000 miles a year so I understand hotels. I can spot a lonesome hair in the room, not here, this place is spotless and has every amenity you need. Extra pillows and blankets are standard, and kitchenette. Even a gameroom! Watch out for the bears!!
