Please note that there is construction taking place on the property, located to the side of the house. There will be no work going on during your stay with us but we do want to make note of the structures that are off limits for access on the property. Both bedrooms offer king-sized beds with Lucid - comfort collection mattresses, Parachute linens, luxury goose down pillows and duvets. Each bedroom is artfully decorated with custom murals & has patio access.

The spacious Hightail House kitchen is bright and inviting, featuring WOW Ceramic tile, Scandinavian lighting as well as everything you need to prepare the perfect meal, including a gas stove, wine fridge and cabinets stocked with a complete set of cookware, dinnerware and drink ware. If cooking isn’t your thing, Homestead Modern is happy to arrange an intimate experience with a private chef for your stay and/or have premium meats and beverages awaiting your arrival. The breakfast bar seats three and you will find a table set for four in the dining area, although you may be tempted to enjoy your meal on the otherworldly patio next to the BBQ grill overlooking the national park.

A spacious living room has been designed to feel as if you are nestled in the middle of your own desert. The floor to ceiling windows give sight to jagged mountain peaks, Joshua Trees, Jackrabbits and the sun melting into the horizon. The modern malm fireplace provides an element of comfort and warmth while you soak in the view or continue your festivities inside.

--OUTDOOR SPACE--

The outdoor spaces are intentionally integrated into the natural desert landscape. The BBQ, pool, and covered outdoor lounge area make it an idyllic setting for days spent in the sun. The pool is surrounded by an expansive patio with lounge chairs and relaxing options that capture the majestic views. Just off the pool there is a stargazing deck, bocce ball court and a propane firepit area surrounded by native plants which invite a range of daily wildlife visitors.

Parking is available for four vehicles and an EV charger is available. Hightail Home is equipped with high speed WiFi, heating and air conditioning. This home has a security camera mounted on, and directed at the exterior of the home in order to monitor the quantity of cars on property so we may ensure compliance with local ordinances.

Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography.



–Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm.

** Cleaning Protocols ***

As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit.

Getting Around:

This is a remote location down dirt roads, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.
