It was very evident the property was not recently prepared for guests. There was food residue and flaking teflon in the cooking pans. There is no dishwasher and when you washed dishes in one side of the double sink the water came up in the other side of the sink. The outdoor furniture was in disrepair and virtually unusable. The grounds were overgrown. We contacted the host and told him we were leaving and asked for a refund. His response was to attempt to address the issues during our stay. This was not acceptable to us. We came for a vacation not to supervise his poor management. He sent us a text from a purported agent for the investors stating that if we left we would not get a refund. That is yet to be determined.

Amazing Views of the Ozark Mountains

The stay was great. Easy to find, easy to access. I'd load the location into your phone before setting off, as you'll probably lose phone signal on the way. The cabin had everything we neeeded, although we didn't spend a ton of time there. Amazing trails close by and a short drive to the Buffalo river. The master bed was nice. Had adjustable positions and a massage function. Jasper is only 10 minutes down the road and had restaurants and grocery stores. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Cabin with awesome view near Buffalo River

On the Rocks House

We enjoyed our stay. The views were amazing. We were lucky enough to be able to catch the Northern Lights on our phone cameras. We enjoyed going into Jasper and eating at the Ozark Cafe and going right up the road from the house to eat at the Cliff House.

Perfect getaway in Jasper

We drove over from Fayetteville for the week of the 4th and were blown away by the cabin. I don’t think the photos do it justice! The house has enough room for the 5 of us, including two kids. The view is beautiful, and the kids loved playing with the cornhole set. Would recommend this place if you are looking to get away for a few days!

House a little dated,grounds not kept in best shape. House was spacious with a lot of extras to make it feel like home. Very private with a great view. I would suggest instructions on operating electric bed. Overall a very nice place & we would stay again

Weekend Getaway

The property was old but nice and well kept. The view from the back deck was amazing and there was plenty of outdoor activities to get out and take part in. The only complaints I have is that the gas grill did not work properly but thankfully there was a really nice PK charcoal grill. All in all we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful view

The house has a beautiful view, the layout was quirky at first but when we had all the doors open there was a nice breeze through the house and we found ourselves entering and exiting everywhere as we wandered around the property. A great place to unplug for the weekend

Perfect getaway

Cozy home with the most amazing views. Property owners were great and our last-minute trip was easy because of their fast communication. House is close to so many different hiking trails. We enjoyed 4 trails within 15 minute drive of the property. We will return for another stay in the future.

Great location

The location is great for this part of Arkansas. Very quiet. Close to good hiking trails and water. 3 bathrooms for the size was great. The view was wonderful. I am a big cook and I wish there was more counter space and light in the kitchen, but otherwise it was a good time, very peaceful.

Perfect Family Getaway

Our stay at House on the Rocks was better than expected. The cabin was clean, well stocked and the views are second to none. The owners communicated with us through the process and ensured we had everything we needed in order to enjoy our stay. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to explore the beautiful countryside.

Mountain Getaway

The location of the cabin was excellent with a great view out back and a large back yard that the kids could play around. The cabin was cozy and clean. FYI our phones did not work near the cabin so make sure to get detailed directions before you leave cell service.

Weekend away

The location was great ! The view from the deck would have been great however it poured down rain the whole time there. So no view to be had. We had great wifi signal but due to storms no internet. Since we were stuck inside it would have been nice if fireplace was a working fireplace. So all of this was beyond the owners control . We had all the trails mapped out for our visit and this home was easy to get and close to many of the places we wanted to go and had the potential of a great view .

5 Star View- definitely worth it! But the House needs a little TLC!

The view is phenomenal!!! The canyon is so pretty, such expansive views! The rocks make you feel like you’re in Outlander! At night, The land “comes alive” with all the critters singing and the stars shining! The patio deck is a great place to read a book and have a cocktail. The hosts are very responsive and kind. As was Jackie, the cleaner, who was very knowledgeable and helpful! While the views are great, the house needs some TLC and a deep clean—for instance, there’s dust all over the ceiling fans, dead bugs on window sills, dust in corners, the fridge is old and the freezer part leaks condensation/water into the fridge; the covers on the furniture (while nifty to have!) need to be replaced as they’re a little worse for the wear and very dingy looking, some scuffs along the walls, and No dishwasher (which was a bummer for our longer stay). There’s also a wasp problem- we think there’s a nest under the patio as many wasps would fly onto the patio and go under the grill and through cracks in the steps. We killed 10-15 in the house alone over a 3 week period. Again, such a wonderful view and helpful hosts! I think some minor updating and sprucing up inside the home would go a long way and bring the property to the full 5 stars!!!
