Room was dark and cramped with burlap lamp shades which would be hard to clean. The door lock was old school key with no sound proofing. The room was clean with no view. Restaurant was not operating during our stay.

Excellent place to stay for skiing. Steps to tram, gondola, and lifts. Great for when you’re dead tired after skiing and don’t want to travel far. It is a quaint, rustic hotel. Those looking for upscale luxury and spa treatments - not for you. Stay next door at sister property, Snake River. Use the $30/day resort fee and get yourself free coffee, hot tub, indoor/outdoor pool, etc. next door. Staff encourages you to go next door. Alpenhof is great for those who want to ski and just need a place to sleep. Rooms were quiet, bed was comfy, and there’s daily housekeeping. The area shuts down by 9 pm so very quiet. Special shout-outs to Roxanne and Eduardo for letting us check in early and providing us with two extra pillows! We enjoyed our stay!

The Best Bang for Your Buck in Teton Village

The Alpenhof is a wonderful old hotel right in the middle of Teton Village. As the billionaires have pushed the millionaires out of Jackson, the Alpenhof remains a gem... a place where the rest of us can still afford to stay at the base of the ski resort. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I had shipped our skis to the hotel, and they were waiting in the ski room when we got there. On the way out, the staff held onto them until they were picked up. The hotel has a wonderful old-world Bavarian charm, and yet it offers great amenities. The room was clean, comfortable, and large, if not luxurious or recently updated. We had a balcony with a view up to the base area. Since the hotel is owned by neighboring and more upscale Snake River Lodge, we had access to its fantastic indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. The hotel's restaurant, with its large outdoor deck, is one of the best apres ski locations in the Village... complete with a DJ, great beer, and excellent food. All told, we had a fantastic stay and will most likely stay there again on our next visit to Jackson Hole.

Truly a ski-in, ski-out experience!

We enjoyed our stay at Alpenhof hotel. We skied down to the hotel at the end of our day at JH. Great location, friendly and responsive staff. The room was very warm and spacious. We would stay there again. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in need of a major renovation (rooms, carpets, lobby etc.). They no longer have a restaurant. The facility that was previously a restaurant operates only in the afternoon and evening with a very limited food option. Next time I ski in Jackson I will choose a different hotel.

Very convenient and perfect stay for our ski trip to Jackson Hole! Easy to get to from the airport. Friendly staff and large enough rooms to feel comfortable throughout our stay. We would stay here again when we come back to visit!
