Great family reunion trip

We had a wonderful time and the house was setup perfectly for 5 families, 4 bunk bed aged kids and 1 3 year old. The private pool was a huge hit and the walk to the beach was perfect!

Very close to the beach. That was nice. House equipped well. Overall condition of house including outdoors is not good. Needs lots of work. Photos especially at pool area must be 10 years old. Overall was disappointed for the price. Would not rent again.

Fantastic Family Reunion

The house was perfect for a large group of people. Super clean. Very large bedrooms which allowed privacy when you wanted to be away from the group. Multiple gathering areas for several people. Proximity to the beach is great, especially for those who enjoy the early morning or late evening strolls on the beach. Kitchen has everything you need to cook whatever you want. We will definitely book this again if we return to this area with a large group.

Not Great

Property and location were nice. Property manager and property owner both made appearances without any notice. Charged for any extras; heat for hot tub, towels, etc. For the price we paid we were definitely expecting a much better experience.

VTC 40th Deltaversary

In celebration of our 40th Deltaversary, Villa Del Mare was a perfect setting for our group. Plenty of sleeping space and conversation seating areas, as well as the beautiful layout of the house and the property. We were only steps away from the beach. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Wedding Stay

We rented Villa Del Mare for a week for a family member’s wedding. Communication with Karen, the property manager, were great. She was friendly and very helpful. Maintenance requests were addressed promptly and professionally. I would describe the property as a grand dame showing its age a bit. There were a few maintenance issues, but I’m sympathetic to the owner. If you have the pleasure of staying there, you’ll appreciate the constant maintenance challenge it presents. Despite a few missing tiles here and there, the swimming pool was magnificent, and the pictures don’t exaggerate its size. The whirlpool was very large and the jets moved water really, really well. The house, particularly the bedrooms, was spacious and well-appointed, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The icemaker easily kept up with a group of 10 thirsty adults, and the wet bar was much appreciated.

Great location, lots of fun

The property is in a fantastic location. On a short private street with direct beach access. There is a large driveway that easily held 5 cars. The house was spotless and felt very clean. The pool was super big and the hot tub warm! Even the grandparents jumped in! The bed, bedding, pillows and furniture were comfortable and high quality. WiFi worked great with multiple devices streaming and zoom work meetings happening with no interruptions. The AC worked well and when a big storm knocked out the electricity for several hours, we were able to find many large candles in jars and matches. Made for a fun, cozy evening of family games that we won't forget. We all had a great time. That said, I agree with the other reviewer that the place could use some TCL. We paid the premium summer rate and would have expected a little more. The management company was excellent, the best we've ever had the pleasure to work with.

Expectations came up short

For the cost, I expected first class conditions. The inside was acceptable with some areas of neglect. the pool area was completely unacceptable. Outdoor tables on the decks were unusable, tables stacked in a corner of the property that looked like it was to be trashed. Planters stacked up along the edge of the property that were growing weeds if not completely empty. It just did not look great (not at all like the pictures). In all, I have rented other homes between IOP, Kiawah and Hilton Head in the same price range and although this was nice, it certainly did not match the quality and upkeep as others. Probably overpriced by 2-3 thousand for the week.

Family Time

Finding an ocean house to please 5 adult children and grandchildren spread across the country was a challenge. This absolutely wonderful house and location was nothing less than perfect! EVERYONE wants to return. Property managers were terrific.

Wonderful vacation!!

This property is absolutely beautiful. The pool is the best we have ever seen and the beach is super close, not crowded and really awesome! This property is great for large families or groups, has gathering areas for all to get together but also plenty of spaces for everyone to have privacy. The house has some “wear” but nothing that isn’t expected from a busy rental. The property managers are wonderful, checked on us many times and even came and cleaned the grill!! Overall great vacation!!!

Amazing family vacation

We are large family: parents, 4 grown kids, their spouses, their 10 children- 8yrs to 2 months. This house has bedrooms, big bunk room, large closets which house pack and plays and several living spaces. It was perfect for us. Maintenance was quick to respond to minor issues we had. Overall best IOP experience we’ve had in years.

Isle of Palms post Covid vacation

The most incredible memories were made at this vacation property. We would rent it again in a heartbeat. I have nothing negative to say about this property with one exception. I wish there was a bathroom on the ground floor near the pool. The memories that were shared and the amenities of this home for outweigh any negatives! Thank you for allowing us to share in this incredible location and property!
