Absolutely lovely vacation rental. The area was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. We had 2 families and adult children and everyone had their own space and bathroom. The living areas were so comfortable with ample seating/lounging - was especially nice while we were all watching football. The outdoor area was so serene - the uncovered deck was fabulous for morning coffee and late night conversations around the fire pit. Such a cozy home - we’d definitely book this property again. My only suggestions would be to add luggage racks for each bedroom and also add towel hooks to each bathroom. Fabulous rental!!!

The pictures do not do this home justice. It is larger and more beautiful than it appears. The hosts thought of many details to create comfort and ease. There are extra blankets galore, the knives are very sharp for cooking, they have kid-friendly plates and cutlery, they have a shelf of recently published books, and there are beach toys and towels.The hosts were helpful to us in every way. Four generations of our family stayed from age 90 years to 20 months and everyone was comfortable and happy.Thank you for a beautiful stay. We came to the area to celebrate a family wedding and you made it lovely.We highly recommend this home and this host!

Our girls trip was so fun and we loved the house. Fully equipped and nice neighborhood! Very safe. A short walk to the beach and a thirty minute drive to Charleston. We each had bedroom and perfect for gathering during the day. Lovely back porch and deck. We loved our time there. Thank you to the host for expedient communication. Beautiful house!

Lovely home with many bedrooms

Overall, this home was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. There were plentiful bedrooms and bathrooms, which suited the seven of us very well. There was a place inside for us to gather, a place outside on the deck for us together, and a place in a screened in porch for us together. Quite nice. My only hesitation from giving five stars was that with this lovely home and lovely amenities, the management seems to be rather stingy on superficial things. For instance, there wasn’t enough toilet paper for our stay. We only needed one or two more rolls, but had to deal with the harassment of going for more. Plus, it would be nice if there were a couple things in the cupboard, like I’ve seen at other VRBO homes. Absolutely nothing. No oil for the frying pan, no coffee for just the first night. For ourselves, we left our leftover jar of natural peanut butter in the cupboard. Will it be there for the next renters or will it be thrown out? By just spending a few more dollars, it would’ve been a little more convenient for us. But other than that, it was lovely. Very near the beach, and very pretty.

WOAT family vacation

The house was located perfectly, but we did need two golf carts to get around. The house was not cleaned as I would have liked- the floors through out the house were very dirty. All in all , the place was nice for our big family & made a lot of memories!

Isle of Palms girls weekend

Thank you for a fantastic weekend! We went as a girls group to celebrate my sister getting married and the house was fantastic! It was clean, well stocked in the kitchen had ample space for all the guests and super comfortable with a cute beachy decor vibe!! Definitely would recommend for a nice vacation close to Charleston and right down the street from the beach!

Fabulous Wild Dunes Rental!

This was the perfect rental for our group of 5 - 3 adults and 2 kids. Although I’m sure the house would also be comfortable for a bigger group. The house was beautiful and perfectly stocked. We rented bikes which was a lot of fun. The beach was a short walk down the street using a staircase that exits wild dunes to the beaches on the other side of the street. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect home

This was the perfect house for our group. We had many laughs and had some great memories. Our party consisted of 10 women ranging from 27-70 on a girls weekend getaway. The house accommodated all 10 of us easily. 4 full bathrooms and a 1/2 bath meant no one had to wait long. The house was clean, the deck was wonderful and we spent most of our time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc needed to make breakfast and we grilled one night for our dinner. After dinner we roasted marshmallows over there fire pit for dessert. The showers were hot and had terrific water pressure. I can’t speak for all the beds but mine was comfortable and I felt well rested. The location was amazing. Every morning some of us (and the last day all of us) walked the short walk to the beach to watch the sunrise. It was an amazing weekend and we would happily stay again.

Great place for a relaxing stay!

Me and my friends absolutely loved our stay at Whale of a Time. It’s the perfect location for a relaxing weekend, the neighborhood is beautiful for walks and access to the beach. The screened in porch was our favorite spot of the house along with the common area/den! The house, although very spacious had a homey vibe to it. And the landlords were wonderful, sent helpful tips and were quick to respond to questions! Couldn’t recommend this place more!
