We had a very nice stay. The hosts were very responsive when we had questions. The location was wonderful and the house was very clean. While we did not take our dog with us this time, it was nice that we had the option to do so.If I had to give a negative it was that the mattresses where on the soft side. I prefer a firmer mattress but that is more of a personal thing. Other than that, we had a great time and would rent this house again if given the opportunity.

The property was suitable for our needs when we visited for a family wedding. We had six adults and 2 dogs and there was plenty of space. The two full bathrooms were clean and very big. The kitchen was well organized and had most everything we needed. Often at rental properties, previous renters leave leftover sugar, spices and other items in the pantry. Unfortunately there was no sugar, but there were tea bags and a coffee maker and salt and pepper.The furniture in the living room was reasonably comfortable.There was plenty of outdoor seating around a fire pit. The outdoor property could use a little sprucing up, but it was fine.It should be noted that it was very warm in the upstairs bedroom and the bed was very soft, but there were fans going to move the air around a bit. The main bedroom in the lower level was comfortable and had an air conditioning unit for cooling.It is just a short walk to public access on Mullet Lake and is on a private road just off the main road. Easy to get to.We had planned to bring our toddler and the owners had a high chair available in the dining area. This was a very reasonable VRBO rental property. I have no complaints.

The house was very clean and all ammenities were there. We had trouble with the front door lock and the TV remotes were without batteries. Both issues were addressed quickly by the property manager.I wish the TV had some directions. We fiddled around long enough to figure out the Firestick and the cable box. The Firestick wasn't plugged in enough to turn on at first, but after trouble shooting the wiring it started working. It would have also been nice to have a listing of what channels were available on the cable box as we are not big TV streamer people.We also had to guess which Wifi network the house had as it was not listed in the welcome book. Only the password was given. Again, we chose wisely and were able to hook-up our devices.The house did not offer a view of Mullet Lake, but a short walk down the road led you to a public boat ramp where you could enjoy the lake. The house was very nice inside and I loved the staircase up to the second floor. The bedrooms were spacious. The road traffic died down at night so it was also very quiet in the house. Some of the windows did not have blinds, so sleeping in was a struggle once the sun came up.Overall, it was a nice stay and we enjoyed many of the local restaurants in Indian River, Habor Springs, and Petoskey.
