Brothers trip

My 2 brothers and I stayed here for a week as a central location to explore the blue ridge parkway. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly not really much to do but we were there to relax so worked well. The property was very clean and well stocked with all the amenities you would expect. View from the deck was beautiful very comfortable place to stay. Currie, the host, was very nice and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. Highly recommend this as a getaway for a small group.

Weekend Getaway

This is our second time staying here and we had a wonderful time!! The view is absolutely amazing!!! The home is always extremely clean and well kept! We felt like we were at home! The owners are always accommodating and responsive. The stocked kitchen is wonderful as well. This is the perfect place for a weekend away not far from home! We can’t wait to come back next year!!

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE

The house is absolutely beautiful and has lots of creature comforts. However, it's not really a cabin, as listed. When we rent mountain cabins, we are looking for peace and solitude. Unfortunately, this rental fell short in those regards. While this home has a beautiful view of the river, it is situated on a hill directly in front of a 4 lane highway, which is not mentioned in the listing. Sitting on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and enjoying the quietness of the mountains wasn't possible due to the noise from the traffic going by, not to mention a neighbor's dog barking loudly from inside the house/trailer. There is a trailer on the property which appears to be someone's home, which I feel also should have been disclosed in the listing as it does take away from the overall view. As stated, the house is beautiful and clean but had the above information been mentioned in the listing, I don't think I would have rented this property.

From booking to departure communication was on point. Upon entering there was a welcome basket with home instructions, waters and snacks. Such a nice welcome! The home was stocked with everything you need to start your trip, right down to coffee (kcups) cream, sugar and breakfast bars! The kitchen was well stocked. The bathroom with everything needed (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toiletries) was so nice and rarely seen in an VRBO rental! The hot tub was heavily with our morning coffee and the fireplace was cozy on the chilly nights. Honestly the host thought of EVERYTHING you will need/want for a comfortable effortless stay!

Cabin in the Mountains

What a beautiful location in Independence Virginia. A relaxing cabin on a mountain with a beautiful view. We were able to spend time exploring our properties and explore the towns of Independence and Galax. Currie was great responding to all our emails and questions. A five star stay in all categories and we would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying here. The place was just as described. The coffee bar, and welcome basket were the best. Comfortable master bed and pillows. Adorable Knick Knaks. Clean linens and cleaning supplies, to clean up after yourselves. The hot tub was amazing and clean, gorgeous under the stars at night. Firepit, was awesome. And you cannot beat that view!!! Great stay

Loved this place. Will return. Good communication with the owners. And for those complaining about the driveway lol google how to drive up steep gravel drives and learn a thing or too lol. A couple of things just for future stayers to prep them for their stay. The grill on sight is a Blackstone griddle not a "grill" in my book but no complaint at all just keep that in mind when buying food to cook. We have Verizon and service was spotty throughout the area so make sure to set your mobile gps when at wifi at the place before you leave.

Perfect getaway

We absolutely loved it. The host was great we had to end up rescheduling two separate times because of unexpected things and she was so great. The house was spotless. Didn't get to use the hot tub because of weather but did look inside and it was spotless as well. If we can ever get away from kids again we would definitely consider coming back if we are in the area. Thank you for a great weekend.

Weekend Getaway

Upon entering the house one thing is immediately obvious, this place is all but brand new. The furniture and appliances are all top notch and the starlink provides a very fast and reliable internet connection. As we unpacked we found everything we needed and more, including a nice basket with snacks and pertinent information. The owners of this property obviously care and respect the fact that you’re spending your hard earned money to stay there.Yes the driveway is steep but please don’t let that dissuade you from staying in this wonderful place. Very clean very modern couldn’t recommend it more. Even if you’re only an hour from home you’ll feel a world away from the stresses of reality.

Cozy getaway with a beautiful view

We enjoyed every minute of this wonderful weekend getaway. This is a very cozy, nice, clean home with a fireplace, hot tub, and a beautiful mountain/river view. It is also equipped with everything you may need. The host was very quick to respond. We will definitely return.

Stay in Virginia

This place is set off really well, with an incredible view to pair. Driving over from Johnson City made this a perfect spot getaway after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful place of relaxation. The hosts are so nice and generous with their respective time. Whenever we had questions they were prompt and kind in guiding us through to the answers we needed. The hot tub is quite a nice touch to the scenery and the surrounding countryside. The master bedroom is quite spacious and the added instructions and welcome information was very useful.

Great getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Riverview cabin. The cabin is very clean and well equipped. It is located on a hill and there is a view of the New River from the covered front porch. When we had a question for the owner they were prompt in their response. Overall this was a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Fantastic getaway!

Perfect for our getaway. We stayed here for our trip to the highlands state park. Several towns close by as well. Saw turkeys and some deer passing through. Very clean! Everything we could’ve hoped for.

Great Place to Relax!

Great location just off the main road but nothing that I would call busy. The home is tucked away up in the hills with a lovely view of the New River. This was just a great place to relax. I had everything I needed and more. If I ever plan another trip in this area again I can only hope that this home will be available again.

Home beautiful but up on an unpaved mountain road

We drove all day in the rain driving winding roads and we were exhausted . Our host gave us the wrong address...She gave us her personal address and that was miles up a winding 1 lane road to her home with 8 dogs running all over . Called her and she said to go to another address ...Her son guided us to another house and that was down in a gully with an unpaved road . I messaged her that was not acceptable . Keeping in mind we had driven all day in the rain and were worn out . She sent her husband out to find us and lead us to the correct home . Roger her husband was very helpful and very nice . He led us to the home . We were not aware that it was up a windy unpaved road with no guard rails. He offered to refund us and help us find a hotel in town . We were so tired we moved in . We stayed 4 nights out of the four we had paid for . We would not dare drive on that road in the dark so we could not attend the jams we went there for . We mostly just rested . The home is newish , very clean and well cared for . If you love mountain side homes and like driving up dangerous roads this one is for you . Sadly it was not to our liking .......

Girls Trip

This will be short and sweet. But really can’t recommend this property enough. We can to see a show at the blue ridge music center, about 20-30 min away. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and were so quick to respond to any issues (missing wine opener) no matter what hour. Gorgeous views. Close to a grocery store. Really nice grill. Literally had everything we could need and more. Will def stay here again
