Overall the cabin was good, however, Expedia did not have this cabin listed as an "off-site" property, so it was not walking distance to the town. I would recommend checking the Idllywild Inn website to confirm if the cabin is off-site.

Each room is decorated differently. It was a little confusing as idyllwild inn owns both properties and one is a little out of town but cute and a great weekend getaway

Terry is the best at the front desk! Love my cabin. So quiet and near the back. Wish it had hard wood floors and a coffee table like the older ones. Small fridge too. Still very cute and comfy.

I've stayed at the Idyllwild Inn before and it was OK or better, but this time: 1. Although I made the reservation in August 2024, when I arrived to the inn on Tuesday, they told me they are full and moved me over to the Strawberry Creek Inn, which is not as centrally located. 2. At the Idyllwild Inn most of the cabins are at a ground level. At the Strawberry Creek Inn I received a room on the second floor with narrow and steep staris that I had to carry my luggage through. 3. The room (sunset) was small and crowded. 4. They said that if anything happens after 8pm, there's an emergency number to call posted on the office/reception door. When the A/C stopped working at 10PM on a hot day, I went to the office and there was no emergency number. I opened the windows and had to spend the night without an A/C and couldn't fall asleep till 2am, when it became a bit cooler outside. In the morning I found out they forgot to post the emergency number on the office door.

May 2025 getaway

Getaway, we actually stayed at another property that they own or work with, the property and rooms looked like they were recently renovated, and it was right next to a babbling brook/creek which was great to relax by. our room even had a jacuzzi tub. bed was comfy. I think we found our place to stay when we come up here

I love staying at the Idyllwild Inn because there are cabins that allow pets and it's quaint and rustic. I love seeing the squirrels running around outside! They do have some regular room accommodations too for those who don't have a pet. The location is great for walking to restaurants and shops.

There are not enough outlets and the bathroom sink is too small. It would be helpful if there was a stand to put something. And Patio was little dusty. For now ok.

First, when the title says “off-site”, it means that you will be directed to a different address of another inn they handle. It is not located in the village address as listed. Second, they don't have work or dining table that you can use if you want to eat or do small work. They don't have grilling machine although it was listed. Third, the comforter has too much lints and we took it out during the stay. Fourth, bring your extension when using their coffee maker or charging. They don't have enough instructions to use their equipments and you need to sort it out yourself. The place where we were directed were retrofitted enough for an overnight stay only. Presentable place but too small as a space to relax. Worth considering but if you have other options, give yourself a chance to find a better one that can address and deliver what you are trying to look for a place to stay. Customer service is questionable.
