Wonderful house with tons of toys/games/books for kids, very comfortable rooms, all the cooking tools we could have needed. Great hill in the back for sledding. Nice, quiet neighborhood close to plenty of fun activities. Very professional, informative and responsive hosts!

Togetherness for the Dozen

Our family of 12 gathered from various parts of the country for a fabulous five days at the Creekside Chalet and what a wonderful time was had by all! While the photos and description on VRBO were what initially got our attention, the actual experience was beyond expectations on all levels! The house itself was spacious, yet gave the feeling of warmth and comfort! The five bedrooms, including two master suites, the three full bathrooms, the well appointed kitchen, the dining area where we could all sit down at the same time for meals, the large common areas with plenty of comfortable seating, floor space, large windows letting in lots of natural light….. I could go on and on! I need to mention that every light switch throughout the chalet was labeled! This was most helpful! Information and overall procedures were clearly stated and present! There were so many small details that the owners paid attention to which added to all of us feeling at home! The backyard had furniture, barbecue grill, and tables and chairs. The location was convenient to local beaches, hiking and bike trails, restaurants, etc. It is also worth noting that the property management company was easily accessible and responsive when we contacted them with a couple of questions during our stay,Every summer, we choose a different location for our destination, family vacation. This experience ranks at the top of the places we have gone to over the past five years. It was overall awesome!

Amazing Amenities

This property was fantastic, the location was good, the house had everything we needed and my kids were never bored. If we never left the house we still would have had an amazing time with everything that was available to us. And when we did go out they had chairs, life jackets and many other things that made our trip stress free.

Fun vacation

We loved this clean house. It was fully equipped. Full kitchen, bathrooms had everything. It was nicely decorated. Our only issue was that there was no porch to sat on. Also, the nearlby snow place (5 min away) was closed so we had to drive 30-40 min to get somewhere.

Chalet Experience

Extremely clean. Adult son said, "this is the best kid friendly rental ever!" Saw a bear on property on two different days. Used firepit and BBQ every day, very easy. Great floorplan for multigenerational gatherings. However, no woodburning stove for winter months. The second oven is not functional which would make Thanksgiving stays more difficult.

Convenient location and fully stocked

Large property conveniently located near chambers landing and homewood—easy to get to Tahoe city and south lake. The house was very clean and came fully stocked with appliances, supplies, toiletries, kid toys, games, hiking backpack for kids, etc. would stay again!

Beautiful, spacious home and location. Fully stocked with all the amenities. The foam beds were welcome by some, not so much by others. I found them comfortable, others found them too hard. Overall a delightful stay.

Great for our Family!

We stayed here comfortably with 8 Adults, 2 kids, and 2 infants. The house was well set up for little ones and had lots of toys and kids items like cribs and hiking packs. The year round creek was undersold, such a nice feature of the house on a hot summer day!

Unique house

Nice location near trails in Homewood. Roomy house. Bathrooms small. Very steep staircase to main level makes it hard for seniors to enjoy. Access to patio and grill area not convenient. Very clean and well equipped.

Great stay at McKinney Estates!

My party and I had a great time at McKinney Estates. The property was spacious and filled with a ton of amenities, cookware, and little personal touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again!
