Absolutely everything about our stay was first class. The hotel was exceptional, the food in all restaurants, including buffet was fantastic. So much choice. The staff were also all wonderful. We had a superior double sea front with shared private pool and we could not fault anything about it. We even had the delightful Marina bringing us drinks all day around the pool, she was a delight. The basics were handled well: the food, snacks, and drinks were GOOD overall, though it can be confusing to figure out which outlet serves what at times. The air conditioning worked reliably and the bedding was comfortable. However, service and facilities left much to be desired. The shared pool Jacuzzi functions were out of order, and service consistently missed the mark. Food shortages occurred—like a certain item running out at the BBQ station two hours before closing—which is simply unacceptable for this price point. Consistency is an issue: welcome amenities varied drastically depending on who managed the check-in, based on clear observations of other arriving guests. Charging €20–€35 for late check-out at a supposedly five-star hotel is disappointing, regardless of the amount. On the culinary side, the Italian à la carte and Steakhouse experiences were good, but the so-called Italian Brunch was a letdown: the menu descriptions did not match the served food, which was BLAND and of poor quality. Bottom line: for the rates charged, especially compared to other local resorts, these issues are unacceptable and fall farrrrr short of five-star standards.

i would like to state that i am a huge fan of the Mitsis group and have had over 12 stays at their hotels, however this is my first trip to one after covid and a lot has changed. the quality of the food is not great, and even the themed restaurants are serving food which is not good! the Rinela has had a great face lift and the sea is delightful, whilst we were there it was so windy and the life guards were excellent at keeping a watch. the staff in general were ok however the way they run the breakfast and dinner service is not great, you feel as though you are a number to be feed and moved on, not a very luxurious experience in fact the opposite. this may be due to the fact that it was August and the hotel was full. the pizza on the beach was ok, not very tasty and lacking in ingredients. the BBQ would run out everyday of simple things like cheese, hot dogs, lettuce! they also have a tendency to speak in Greek about the guests and as i do speak Greek it was not always very nice! the beach service is very hit and miss, you may get offered a drink and then nothing for the next two days. they just need to sharpen everything up and keep a smile on their faces, after all they are selling themselves as a 5 star hotel. i will never return to the Rinela and i am sad standards have dropped so much. the back office staff try and accommodate you as much as they can but again they are not very careful with their words. i would rate this hotel as a 4 star.

Highs - Excellent beach - Most of staff is friendly, really enjoyed meeting Lefteris, Giorgio and his bar colleague (forgot his name) at the beach bar; Aris in the bar near reception and Katerina, evening housekeeper. - Restaurants Lows - Some guests are very entitled and selfish. Hotel should find ways to address them as it does impact others. You would see 10 chairs reserved by 1 person for the kid's mini disco, endless sunbeds reserved and not used by midday. Vaping in the restaurant and large group of people being quite loud. - I had a linen shirt stolen from the drying rack, which is placed outside the room. A lovely hotel for sure, with some opportunities for improvement to ensure all guests feel comfortable and have equal chances of using all non-private space and facilities.
