The hotel itself is a lovely building with some great features. There are nice areas to sit around in. Our room was a good size and clean and comfortable. As it is an old building, there are a lot of noises in the corridors and from the room above. I don’t think much can be done about that.The food was disappointing-the evening menu was uninspiring and service was slow and lacklustre

The rooms were clean but we had to use an electric oil filled radiator as their heating system in the room didn’t work. We did have a very pleasant stay and the staff also gave us another quilt. Breakfast was very good with plenty of hot food available along with continental options and cereals etc. The staff were very pleasant and courteous.

A lovely property right in the heart of Harrogate. The lady who greeted us at reception was incredibly miserable and had a poor attitude, so not a great first impression of the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, although the walls are made of paper and we had noisy neighbours at night, we did call reception and they acted quicky to speak to them. Breakfast was good, in a grand room. Overall, we would stay again.

As lovely as the hotel looked from the outside and in the front entrance/bar area, the rest looks fairly rundown. At first glance, the room where breakfast was available looked great, until you look up and see plaster missing from the ceiling. The rooms were fairly rundown, stains on the curtains and, although adequate they left a lot to be desired compared to the outside appearance. Although a convenient place to stay, I can’t say that I would recommend it.

The room was very clean and tidy, and the hotel had noted my disability and put us in a room with a disabled shower and accessibility was great. The staff were all lovely and polite and they couldn't do enough to help when we asked. I would highly recommend. We did eat breakfast, but it was oily so spoiled it a bit, however the breakfast staff where all fabulpus and they remembered our preferences for drinks etc. All on all a beautiful venue, amazing staff and the pricea were spot on. Thank you to all for a pleasant stay.
