Villa Sol is a private oceanfront retreat on British Columbia’s Sunshine Coast, set on 6.3 acres of rare forested privacy. Designed for rest, inspiration, and connection, it is one of the few properties on the coast offering both true oceanfront access and deep forest seclusion. Perched above the sea and surrounded by towering evergreens, our home features thoughtfully appointed suites — all with ocean views — along with shared wellness amenities (hot tub, sauna, steps to the ocean for cold plunges), and calming spaces where guests can slow down and recharge.

• Oceanview Suite – 820-sq-ft Spacious king suite with private ensuite, exclusive living/games lounge (with pool table), and Peloton + workout gear. Large screen TVs in both games room and bedroom.
• Eagleview Suite – 820-sq-ft Cozy king suite with wood-burning fireplace, steam shower, and Peloton bike; direct access to hot tub and sauna.
• Seaview Suite – 600-sq-ft Light-filled option with two double beds and a powder room (toilet + sink only, no shower); ideal for short stays.

Guests enjoy private access to their own suites, along with shared access to:
• Foyer & Common Areas – A welcoming shared entry and access to bar-b-que
• Expansive Decks – Main and lower-level oceanfront decks are open to all guests; upper-level decks are reserved for the Sky Suite and Oceanview Suite.
• Wellness Amenities – The cedar sauna, ocean-view hot tub, and outdoor shower.
• Property Grounds – Driveway, gardens, and forested pathways. Please note the forest trails are sloped and best suited for guests comfortable with uneven terrain.
• Ocean Access – Steps from the property lead down to the shoreline. This is a natural, rugged entry involving uneven rocks and some scrambling. Water shoes are highly recommended for safety and comfort — accessing without them can be hazardous. Guests use the shoreline at their own risk, but for those who do, it offers a refreshing cold plunge and the closest connection to the sea.
• Private Parking – Complimentary on-site parking is available for all guests within the gated property.

Villa Sol has long been our family’s private waterfront retreat, a place for gatherings, celebrations, and rest. We’ve only just recently opened it up on Airbnb, which is why you’ll see fewer reviews here. That said, we’ve welcomed many family, friends, and past guests over the years — and their experiences speak for themselves.

Other details to note :
Wellness & safety first: Villa Sol is a wellness-centered, smoke-free property. Absolutely no smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere on the grounds. This is for both health reasons and to protect our forested acreage from fire risk.
Large natural property: You may occasionally see landscapers or caretakers tending to the gardens and grounds during your stay.
Dog on site: While pets are not permitted, our friendly small dog, Charlie, may occasionally be on the property when we are present.
Forest setting: As we are in a rural, forested area, we recommend keeping doors closed promptly or using the available screens to ensure your comfort.
Ocean access: The shoreline is natural and tides can shift quickly. Guests enjoy ocean access at their own risk, and water shoes are highly recommended. Please note there is no direct ocean launch; kayaks and paddleboards can be put in at nearby Cooper’s Green Park (6 minutes by car).
Sloped terrain: Some areas of the property are sloped or uneven, and guests are encouraged to explore with care.
Private areas: Signs throughout the house will gently indicate spaces that are private or off-limits; thank you for respecting these boundaries.
Meals: Each suite includes a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea station for light snacks and simple prep. Guest kitchens are not available for cooking full meals.
For dining, there are plenty of local options nearby:
• Quick + Nearby (6-10 minutes): TuBird, Grasshopper Pub, Mama’s Kitchen (Japanese), Aquí Es México, and the local IGA in Madeira Park for groceries or ready-made meals.
• A Bit Further (20 minutes): Basted Baker (brunch), Java Docks (coffee), and additional restaurants, cafés, and grocery stores in Sechelt.
This mix of restaurants, cafés, and grocery options makes it easy to enjoy meals out or bring back something simple to your suite.
Rural Wi-Fi & power: Service is generally reliable but not guaranteed. If your work is highly time-sensitive, please plan accordingly.
Nature setting: Expect the peaceful rhythms of ocean, forest, and occasional wildlife (eagles, deer, hummingbirds).
Respectful atmosphere: Villa Sol is a calm, restorative space—best suited for guests who appreciate quiet and shared respect.
