6/10 Aceptable

We stayed here for 16 nights in August. It was a last minute reservation and appeared to be the best option from what was still available.First I'll list the positives. This home covers all the bases. It's a place to sleep, enough room for everyone, well stocked kitchen to prepare meals, and a safe/quiet neighborhood. Inside of the home was clean. Now for the negatives. I've delayed reviewing because I don't like to leave negative reviews. However, I know I depend on reviews myself when booking so I have to be honest. As stated the inside of the home was clean. The outside was another story. The pool area is in desperate need of attention. The house and the screened in enclosure are in bad shape. We didn't take many outdoor pics in the pool area as we normally do because the house needs powerwashed so badly. It just doesn't look/feel like vacation when there is green or black mildew growing on everything. There is a new table and chairs outside that we used but the rest of the pool deck is cluttered with old nasty furniture. The pool does have free heat, which was one of the reasons I booked. But it's not enough to make the spa feel much warmer than the main pool, no matter how long you have it on. Going back inside, the homes thermostat is on a schedule to reset it multiple times a day and at midnight. We stayed up late just to make sure we could turn it down to 72 before sleeping. We're usually sad to leave our vacation rentals. Sadly, that just wasn't the case here.
