Årøsund er en gemt lille perle blandt historiske Danske badehoteller. Det nænsomt istandsatte hotel, fuldt ud i sin oprindelige ånd er så elegant i sin enkelthed at det helt tog pusten fra mig. Nå ja, nu er jeg en historie tosset Sønderjyde, men at træde ind på hotellet var som at bladre i mine bedsteforældres sort hvide fotoalbum og så vupti, træde ind i den epoke bare i sarte farver. Restauranterne kunne sagtens måle sig i ambience med landets bedste badehoteller i Skagen og på Bornholm, retssalen var så enestående epoke afstemt at det bragte tårer til øjnene. Maden og betjeningen var top kvalitet og så overraskende enkelt som kun nogle få køkkenchefer mestrer. Udeområde, sundet, stranden og enkeltheden var så mildt og autentisk som det kunne blive. Med tæt på 100 overnatninger om året var jeg ikke forberedt på at blive så forblændet og forelsket i et sted. Det her er et sted som ingen andre og jeg vil 100% komme igen og igen. Hatten af for ejerkredsen, den daglige ledelse og personalet!

Godt hotel, men skuffet over menukortets indhold.

Hotellet lå rigtig dejligt og var et godt sted med en sød betjening. Synes bare deres menukort var for skrabet, selvom der i glasmontren ved indgangen stod mange gode hoverretter, var valget kun kylling eller lam. Ikke så meget som en god bøf kunne der diskes op med. Fandt heldigvis et andet sted at spise.

Sikke fin og formidabelt denne perle er blevet. Nye folk er kommet til, så se bort fra ældre anmeldelser. Maden var var rigtig god, værelserne fine, personalet belevne og omgivelser fåes nærmest ikke bedre. Vi var på weekendtur fra København - og vi kommer helt sikkert igen. Enormt charmerende og helt unik; lige sådan man forestiller sig, at besøg på et gammel badehotel skal være.
