Welcome to The Last Resort! Don't let the name fool you! This cozy and spacious lagoon-front cottage has been updated inside and out, including the brand-new deck. Unspoiled views abound from the large lagoon-front deck, as well as the open floor plan of the great room, kitchen and dining room. Great for the little ones, enjoy the worry-free shallows and white sandy bottom. Perfect for swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, soft-shelling, floundering and skiing. The pier is quite long and features a crab deck and a swing.
Located directly across the street from The Peninsula Golf Course, The Last Resort is just 5.2 miles from Hwy 59 on Fort Morgan Road. It is just east of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, a bird-watcher's paradise! Enjoy an abundance of Osprey, Pelican and Great Blue Heron, as well as thousands of migratory species.
Don't want to fight the crowds in town? Then just hang out in your own screened-in tiki bar, complete with a fridge, dart board and, of course, a bar. Walk all the way to downtown Gulf Shores on the Fort Morgan Bike and Walking Trail. You can also enjoy the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, either in Gulf Shores or the easy public access that borders the Bon Secour Refuge, just five minutes west on Mobile Street.
If you're into music and festivals, plan your vacation around the Hangout Fest, Shrimp Fest, Oyster Cook-Off & Craft Beer Fest, or concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater. History buffs, visit historic Fort Morgan or take the 30-minute ferry ride across Mobile Bay to Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island.

Family reunion

Everything was as it was supposed to be a few critiques. The grill I caught fire first night because it's old and full of grease. The railings gave us splinters, and there is a lifted board by tiki entrance some of the older people in our party had a hard time walking up the front steps. Because the railing was not sufficient ice machine often went on the fritz, no one was able to help us with that. And lastly, there were ants in the bathroom and kitchens, once I went and purchased 4 ant traps, the problem seemed to go away. The bug man was supposed to come, but never showed up. Other than those small things, we had a great time

The location is perfect and the view is spectacular! I’ve grown up going to the lagoon every year and I love it! This place will always be special to me because this is where my fiancé proposed!! This is the perfect cabin to make memories that will last a lifetime!

Little Slice of Heaven

The Last Resort was ideal for our family getaway! The views from the back were breathtaking and we all enjoyed sitting on the swing on the pier and kayaking and just taking it all in. The location was perfect for all we wanted to do in Alabama as well.

Wonderful family vaca stay

This is our 4th stay on the the lagoon but the first at the Last Resort house. We absolutely loved everything about it! The check in was easy. The house was super clean, inside and out. Everything was up to date from the kitchen to the decor in all the rooms and the the tiki bar and porch were so cool! It was perfect for the guys to sit down and get their fishing gear together so they could head out to the long dock to fish. We were also were supplied with two kayaks which I had to take part in! The kitchen had everything you needed for breakfast before heading out to the beach. There were clean linens in the closet and a washer and dryer. The house is conveniently located fairly close to the beach and the amenities in Gulf Shores and a short distance the other way to Fort Morgan beaches and the ferry. This house was perfect but the only thing I would add if it were my rental is a full length mirror. Maybe in the hall on the closet door for everyone to share if needed. Just a little minor something. Overall though, this has been our favorite house that we’ve stayed in. We will definitely be back! Thank you for your hospitality as always!

Last Resort Little Lagoon

I recently stayed at The Last Resort Little Lagoon house, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, offering direct water access from the pier that made our stay even more enjoyable. The house itself was spacious, and we particularly loved the screened-in porch downstairs, which provided a great place to relax and enjoy the view without being bothered by insects. The five teens in our group especially enjoyed their stay, taking full advantage of the water access and roomy accommodations. There were a few minor issues during our stay. We found that the back of the house was a bit warm, and there was some condensation in the AC vent in the master shared bathroom. Additionally, the kitchen lacked enough meal serving platters, which made it a bit challenging when preparing meals. Despite these small inconveniences, our interaction with the host was fantastic. She was extremely responsive and helpful, providing clear instructions for check-in and check-out. I even sent her pictures when we arrived, and she responded promptly, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend The Last Resort Little Lagoon house. It’s a beautiful property in a great location, with an attentive host. I would rate our stay 4 out of 5 stars.

Great vacation house!

House was exactly as pictured/ described. My husband, 2 children and me went with my sister, her husband and child. The house was perfect size for all 7 of us. The dock was perfect for fishing and the shallow lagoon was perfect for my 8 year old to swim. It's close to everything. We enjoyed our vacation.

Loved our stay the house was very clean . The location was perfect for us from the beach and the shops as well as the resturants . I would have liked the bench outside to work , and there was a bit of other small details like a small light outside the fell off . Other then that we loved it.

Sunny all week!

We enjoyed the privacy of the Last Resort in the front with the shady Oak trees and the beautiful views of the lagoon at the back of the property. The teenagers had a great time on the dock and in the water with the kayaks. Would recommend this house for a quiet, peaceful week! Property management just a phone call away and very friendly.

Best area

Was down for Spring break with son and wife and grandson for baseball tournament. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to stay.😎 we all enjoyed the area so much wonderful places to relax so peaceful.
