I liked being in an old building that was renovated with very modern bathrooms, for example. Breakfast was good, as well. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. For the price, it was a very good deal. Quiet, co.fortable, safe, convenient.

Location was Great. Room comfortable but old and odd space. Although it had an elevator, we still had to deal with stairs to get to room. Halls were very dark with steps that can be hazardous. We will be returning to Guimaraes but arrange different accomodations.

Location was perfect but a little noisy at night with all the traffic but this comes with the location. Room was comfortable and bedding as well . There was no air conditioning therefore closing the balcony doors to soundproof the room rendered it stuffy with no air circulation especially in the summer nights. The room has a temp control and fan controller but just for show. The shower was with slight mildew and leaked out of door but very spacious. Overall room conditions not a 4 star . I have traveled extensively and this is really a 3star. Breakfast is below par.

Beautiful hotel

This hotel is definitely a place I would like to stay again. Everything about it was nice. The only difficulty I had was with unloading my bags from my rental car. I would recommend not turning up in a self driven car if possible because of the difficulty of stopping in front of the hotel and the general difficulty of parking in central Guimarāes. But aside from that, everything was top notch, the staff were very nice and helpful and the location was unbeatable.

Great location

The hotel is in great location with great staff, just one thing to notice, the parking space is only available for TWO cars for hotel guests in front of hotel. Otherwise you'll have to ask the staff to offer other parking space nearby. The hotel is awesome!

Generally good, but with poorly lit stairways

The service was very good and quite helpful. The room was small and awkward. My main concern is that there were several places where lighting or other physical conditions probably wouldn't pass a US safety inspection e.g., a very poorly lit stairway down from the toilet above the breakfast room, a sensor light in a very dark hallway into the bedroom area that goes on just a bit after you take a step, and a long step from the reception area to the sidewalk in front of the hotel. Most such problems could be fixed.
