Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We came as a family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with every detail thoughtfully provided for comfort. The staff went above and beyond—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area. We booked very last minute and only for one night but I wish we had been here longer. Excellent location, the breakfast was the finest we have had in Colombia and the waiting staff are beyond attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. I genuinely cannot find fault with this lovely hotel. I would certainly return and I highly recommend staying here.

Large, beautifully designed and maintained property— both landscaping and architecture. Vistas of the water and access to it are excellent. Very clean. Very comfortable. Excellent food and service. Staff was kind and helpful. We did have a plumbing issue in our room. But staff attended to it immediately and fixed it. Proximity to the Piedra del Peñol couldn’t be better. It’s a bit outside Guatape, but readily accessible via Tuk-Tuk.

Excellent property, close to La Pierda del Peńol. We enjoyed a night here. Took a boat tour from the dock. The staff is very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The place itself is beautiful and the staff are nice. A lot of small things just didn’t work, it seemed like they weren’t ready for visitors. The worst one was the AC, which for a place this expensive you would expect to work. They also charge a crazy amt for playing on their paddel court, which was just weird.

Nice hotel but loud guests may ruin your stay

The hotel is nice and the rooms large and confortable. Unfortunately, the room hot tubs are on the balconies and you may get loud guests disturbing your rest. There should be enforceable times at night the tubs to be shut down.

I can’t even explain how beautiful of an experience my best friend and I had at Tau House. From the walk in to their in house restaurant (10/10), their front reception that was so accommodating, and their amenities, our experience at Tau was nothing short of magical. The pictures don’t even do this justice. I would recommend to all my friends. Only thing I would warn others about - and that’s for Guatape overrall - is to bring sweaters and fall clothes.
