The area behind the hotel is gorgeous in the summer to sit out and relax and look at the gorgeous view of the snow cat mountains. Property itself is good definitely over priced for the accommodations/style

The view from our balcony was pure magic! Breakfast buffet was delicious! The location was so convenient- shops, restaurants, grocery store, Grindelwald First, and train station all steps away.

Stayed here 2 nights to explore Grindelwald. No AC. Tiny, plastic budget fan provided. Breakfast was included but can be very busy with tour groups coming in. Pool and steam room was nice. Didn’t get to use the other amenities as they opened later in the day. Overall, ok stay. Nothing to rave about. Nothing much to complain about.

It’s an OK hotel, but way way way overpriced for what you get. It’s very hot (no AC) so you need to keep the windows open, but the hotel lights an outdoor fire at night so the whole room smells like smoke. You are paying for the views and if you’re not looking out at the mountain, then it’s not worth it.

The property itself is gorgeous and well equipped. I booked for 1 night and only if I have more time to spend in the hotel. The only thing is the bar tender in the hotel is not polite at all and it seems he does not like to serve or be asked about questions. All the other staffers are exceptionally polite thoigh
