What was once a magnificent institution has unfortunately crumbled into a very average hotel with a lack of training and management. I wont return.

Check in was disorganised, unhelpful and a terrible overall experience. It was only when the duty manager stepped in that we received some form of assistance. Very disappointing for what was once a great hotel.

We were given a room that seemed like an assisted room (not required or wanted) that didn’t have a shower curtain/glass.
Simple housekeeping was non existent.

The staff is the best hospitality staff that I have ever experienced. All of them give a new meaning to professional and courteous service. Nothing is too much. Always friendly and helpfull. Must be experienced to believe. Great hotel with fantastic rooms and facilities.

Room was beautiful. TV infront of the bed did not work. Staff did not show us around the property when we checked in. We had to find the gym, spa and restaurant ourselves. In the gym room there was no water and little towels. For a 5 star this is important. The room was beautiful and the bedding very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and the pool water is comfortable

we returned to this property due to our great experience , this time we came maybe at the back end of DEC and the service and food was under par of what they the hotel pride themselves. not to moan but when you planned all year to come here part of your holiday you expect also the same serivce. dinner we had to send our steak back twice , breakfast waited 1 hr and both our meals was tottally wrong, our room shower head was trickling so we had to use our handheld . the venue is really beautiful and our room but the food and service this time was under par,
