This isn’t just a beautiful eco lodge, it’s a life a life experience. You couldn’t chose a more picturesque location surrounded by nature. The building and facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is excellent. Their tours and services are great and very reasonably priced. Amazing place to visit !!!!
We spent 3 nights at Playa Nicuesa, and were totally bowled over. This place really is a hidden gem, and all the staff work hard to make it that way. Everything about our stay ran so smoothly, from our pickup and boat transfer on arrival, to our departure. Beautiful location, so calm and peaceful. Wonderful staff, all very friendly, polite and knowledgeable, and great that they always remembered our names! Olman's welcome on the pier and his easygoing manner made us feel at home straight away. We loved our room (which was spotlessly clean) - the furnishings and the wrap-around balcony with its jungle view and sounds. So much wildlife to watch and listen to! We particularly enjoyed our trail walks with the guides Oscar and Jean-Carlos, and I felt totally chilled after my massage with Isabella. The food was always freshly prepared and delicious. We're so glad we stayed here, and hope to return one day.
This is a very magical place. It sits on the sea, yet is nestled right into the jungle. Our room faced the jungle and we loved watching fire flies at night and listening to all of nature as it awoke each morning.
The staff and grounds were fantastic. The food was delicious too. We enjoyed kayaking to a fun snorkeling spot, hiking the trails in the rear, watching the macaws fly around at the beach, yoga at 6am each morning and swimming in the ocean at sunset. It was perfect.
3 days of being in a superb ecolodge - lovely surroundings, good food and friendly staff
It's in a jungle so expect to find the odd bug and be prepared for the humidity - we loved it for it's simplicity and eco friendliness.
Had some great walks around the jungle paths, spotting wildlife and even just sitting on the beach front we had 12 scarlet macaws join us one morning - just magical.
Staff are very accommodating and helpful - cant wait for a second visit.
Playa Nicuesa is a beautiful, remote spot on Golfo Dulce. The site is amazing -- the only access is by boat. Snorkeling, kayaking and fishing in the bay, yoga and massage, and miles of trails in the rainforest. With a wonderful staff and interesting guests from all over the world, its the ideal spot for adventure travelers.

This is the place to get in touch with nature
I spent a couple of days at the Nicuesa Lodge and it was the most amazing place I've ever been to in Costa Rica. I wish I could've stay longer.
This is the place to get in touch with nature and disconnect from the rest of the world. It's very peaceful.
This is not a luxury resort, but everything is a 5 star hotel. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The staff is amazing, very helpful. The food is incredible...
I could go on and on writing about this beautiful place. Don't think twice about spending at least three nights or more and enjoy nature.

Worth it!
This property is remote in location but not as complicated to get there...Local flight from San Jose to either Golfito or Puerto Jimenez, and then a 30min boat ride. Completely ecological, you can do yoga, snorkel, kayak...the flora and fauna are spectacular. I loved the food and familiy style atmosphere. Be prepared for bugs, no way around it, take repellent for sure, beds have covers to protect you at night. I saw crocodiles, macaws, heard monkeys, many different bird species...it was definitely enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone. Once there you can be as adventurous as you wish!
