The overall stay was amazing! The check in process was a let down, I understand that 2pm is peak check in time but 1 staff member checking in people isn't enough. All desks should be active to make the process easier especially people with young kids.

Our stay at Novotel Surfers Paradise was overall OK. The rooms were advertised as “deluxe,” but they were only average and not particularly clean — we even found an old packet of doughnuts left in the cupboard from a previous guest. Amenities were very limited with no plates or cutlery provided, and the showers in both rooms leaked across the bathroom floor. The outdoor pool area was quite run down and looked nothing like the photos online. Communication before arrival was extremely frustrating, as our calls to reception were repeatedly disconnected, which caused unnecessary stress as we were trying to ensure our family rooms were together. Although our rooms ended up on the same level, they were not next to each other. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the deluxe rooms for families.

The staff were lovely and the customer service was superb in all manners. Rooms were such a perfect size and housekeeping made up for a small mistake in a very courteous way. Look forward to staying here again :)
