Slightly closer to home you’ll find the award-winning Millennium Walkway, and superb Torr’s sandstone gorge at New Mills, 15 minutes away. The wonderful village of Hayfield neighbours Glossop and is popular with walkers due its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Hayfield caters well for tourists with its own collection of pubs, cafés and restaurants. If you’re looking for city life, the bright lights of Manchester are just a half hour’s drive away, or 30 minutes on a direct train from Glossop. Shop 170 yards, pub and restaurant 20 yards.
