The property itself was in a great location in regards to things around the island and the harbor but it was noisy being right next to the restaurant at the hotel. I asked if their construction would continue the next few days and they said no just today, but every day when we tried to nap we’d hear the hammers . I even ask if I could pay for an upgrade to escape the noise but never got back to me. In the evening it was loud until 10p because people were drinking and eating at the restaurant. At 5am I would be woken up by the loud speaker for prayer.

Wonderful staff and Hotel :)

We were greeted by a lady called Marissa who was such a lovely lady, she went out of her way to get to know you personally and was very helpful with everything. The rest of the staff were amazing too and made us feel at home. The hotel and rooms themselves were beautiful and only a short walk away from the night life. The hotel was quiet and the pool was beautiful. I will definitely be staying at Gili Amor again.

It was not the most comfortable hotel I've been to, but for the Gili island, I think it was good standards. Towels smelt too much of detergent. Overall good.

Gili amor boutique hotel

The stay at the amor boutique was very pleasant. The outside area and restaurant are very nice and the pool is super cool. A few of the rooms need updating as the bathrooms are a tad tired. We had one of these rooms when we first turned up but asked if we could swap and they sorted it immediately with no hassles at all. There are two mosques on the island and there are 5 calls a day. It is hard to escape them and one is much louder than the other. The one closest to the amor Is the quieter one and isn’t bad for the noise. You can hardly hear it when you are inside. (I have stayed at Gili many times and would recommend not staying any further to the right than the amors location, the amor and to the left is the better locations).

Great location and friendly staff!

A friend recommended gili amor to me. I was impressed by how professional the staff were. They really have service down pact. The pool was great... slightly on the warm side but it's also 30 degrees everyday so it probably hard to maintain a cooler temp. Everything was very clean. I saw them cleaning the pool every morning and breakfast was included which had great options. Thanks for a wonderful stay gili amor!

Truly boutique hotel but...

This hotel was charming and boutique. Decent breakfast choices, comfortable bed, nice size room. However you must be aware of the mosque loudspeaker right outside your open-air windows. 5am and throughout the day everyday. If you want a peaceful getaway this just isn't it. The pool was murky even though I saw them cleaning it daily. Too bad for these minor issues, it's a charming hotel.

Great, hotel restaurant is very good

The hotel is simple but very comfortable with a nice pool. The hotel restaurant was also very good. Included breakfast was good, and other meals were very nice and reasonably priced.

Prostitute filled hotel with nothing to recommend

Numerous prostitues in the pool, staying with guests, no privacy, paper thing walls, balconies looking into each other's bedrooms. Cable to with no English channels. Mould and rising damp on the walls. Terrible configured bathroom. Expensive for what you get. Average location. View of rubish tip next door. Mould in the shower. Mattress was comfortable. Breakfast was fare.

Disappointing stay

The staff at Gili Amor Boutique was wonderful and very welcoming. The outdoor pool was gorgeous. The bathroom, however, had a leaking ceiling, and we found mouse feces on two separate occasions. That was a deal breaker for us, and we left after one night.

Small wonder

The hotel is beautiful. We had an issue with water flooding in from the balcony on one night, during a heavy rainstorm, and the shower water would smell sulfurous for the first 5-10 minutes of use. The staff were wonderful, the place is really cute and close walking distance to the harbor. Give yourself an extra half hour and get the sunrise breakfast bowl - tasty and cute!
