POSITIVES: The property is right on the beech. A sea view from the terrace was magnificent. Our delux double room on the second floor was light and airy. The bed was comfortable and bed sheets clean. Towels changed daily. We visited in early March so the heating was on, but you can adjust the temperature yourself.
The hotel is conveniently located only a couple of minutes away from the bus stop for Taormina.
The hotel lobby was pleasant and the hotel grounds clean and tidy. The outside swimming pool was closed but it looked pretty small for such a large hotel.
The staff were pleasant.
NEGATIVES Sparsely furnished bedroom. An extra chair and a small table would be good. Generally, parts of the building outside need maintenance (crumbling facade on our terrace).
Scrambled eggs at breakfast looked and smelled strange. Generally the food quality did not seem to be very good.
We stayed at a relatively quiet time but when a new group of guests arrived we could hear the noises, doors closing and showers running at night.
The spa was closed for maintenance so not much to do around the hotel.
In summary, a pleasant stay and a good value for money but some changes in the upkeep and a better food quality needed.
