The apartment is located in the Pegli neighborhood, an area well-served by all necessary transportation options to reach the city center.
Pegli is located on the western side of the city and is known for its picturesque seaside promenade, which was spared from the massive industrialization the area underwent after World War II. In the 19th century, it was a favored summer destination for nobles, the bourgeoisie, and intellectuals from northern Italy, as well as Europeans.
Among the splendid villas in this area—in addition to Villa Doria Centurione and Villa Lomellini-Rostan, Villa Durazzo-Pallavicini is a must-see, with its park that, at the time of its construction in 1840, incorporated the 18th-century garden of rare plants belonging to the Marquise Clelia Durazzo, a passionate botanist. The park is home to the Museum of Ligurian Archaeology, which houses interesting local artifacts. The Naval Museum is also located in the neighborhood. You can reach Pegli by boat from the Porto Antico, enjoying a picturesque scenic cruise.
