The property was very clean and well kept. The house was the perfect size for all of us. It also had anything that we might need while we were there. We enjoyed the fire pit, games on the lower deck and the lake. Had a blast!

This makes the second time in two years that we have visited this cabin in the woods. We loved the two large decks that are fully stocked with comfy furniture and games for entertainment. The beds are super comfy with plenty room for the entire family and more. The Bowman Family are friendly and accommodating and take special are of this cabin. I highly recommend staying here and promise that you won’t regret it.

Fantastic Stay!

My family and friends stayed at the Bowman Bunkhouse for a few nights for a Spring Break getaway. It's a perfect place to get away from the city and unwind. We hiked, kayaked, canoed and relaxed by the fire. The suggestion for an AWD/4x4 with high clearance is a good one, as the property sits at the end of a remote gravel road. Highly recommend this place!

What an amazing place and the host has literally thought of everything. It was raining for our first day and there is so much to do inside we never missed going outside. Absolutely beautiful place, beautiful views and did I mention there is not one need forgotten. Great access to trails, not far from grocery store. My favorite spot in the house is the bed swing (that’s what I call it) on the balcony. If you are looking for a secluded place to enjoy the lake and surrounding, unplug and unwind this is the place. I can’t say enough about this place.

Amazing Cabin & Amenities!

This cabin is sooo cozy, comfy and has sooo many things to do both inside and out. The nature surrounding it makes you have a sense of solitude, as if no one else is around. The kitchen had everything you need! Then there is a gas fire table on the deck and a real fire pit in the yard! There are games on the deck as well as inside. (Cornhole, ring toss, darts, shuffleboard and more) What I loved most is the view. You are right on the lake and there is not one other dock in view and no homes across the lake!! It is so quiet and peaceful!! No hustle and bustle of the world around us. Come relax, find peace and rejuvenate!! I highly recommend to families and small groups.

We stayed with our kids and grandkids, 15 total this year. We loved the quiet seclusion, being able to swim, kayak, sunbathe whenever we wanted to. The dock is visible from the deck, so we could just holler down when lunch was ready. The 2 lily pads were used every day! The house itself was so conducive to us being together. We solved a murder mystery together, played games, made puzzles, ate until we popped. The two decks are huge and comfy. We loved playing cornhole! I personally liked using the outdoor shower. This was our second time to stay at Bowman Bunkhouse, and we'll probably be back next year too!
