About this property

Conestoga Covered Wagon on Working Farm - Willowmere

Trade the everyday for a night under the stars in Willowmere, 1 of our 8 Conestoga covered wagons set on our working farm. Wake up to a fresh cup of coffee by the fire, lace up your boots for nearby trails, paddle the creek, play a round of golf, or take a walk to see the farm animals. It's the charm of pioneer days with all the comforts of a real getaway. Welcome to your new destination to unplug, create memories and experiences with your family, and the start of new traditions.
The Willowmere wagon is 1 of 3 set up overlooking a pond, rolling pastures, and woods. There are 3 wagons in this cluster. The wagons are close enough to make it a convenient camping experience with friends or families. They are far enough away that you can enjoy your own private campsite. Each site has its own outdoor fireplace with Adirondack chairs.

Each wagon has 1 bunk bed (twin size), and 1 king bed. There is a full bathroom in each wagon that includes a shower, toilet, and sink. Bedding, linens, and towels are included; we ask that you do not take these outside.

As our farm is still in the development process, we do not currently offer more on property farm or hiking excursions at this time. There are several state parks within 10-60 minutes of our property. Some of the more popular state parks in our area for fishing, hiking, swimming, or sight-seeing our highlighted in our guidebook.

Next door to our camping sites is a beautiful golf 9-hole golf course. To get the clubhouse from your campsite, you will follow the road back to where the main outer road starts and take a left (or keep going straight from the main outer road). Golf carts are available to rent, and there are extra golf balls for sale. Bring your own clubs.

My stay here was amazing! All the staff were very kind. I was the only one staying there at the time and everyone was very friendly. When they say that you're staying on a working farm that's exactly what they mean that that's what made it. Such a cool experience. Staying inside a covered wagon that had modern amenities was a cool experience. It kept cool inside with the air-conditioning. The bed was extremely comfortable. There was coffee available for me every morning, which is a plus for me although I didn't get to have a fire because it was so hot while I was there. They made sure that everything was there to start a fire in the fire pit, they even had everything to make s'mores which was a nice touch. There is lots of little shops downtown to visit. There's also some really good hometown restaurants to eat at if you don't wanna cook your own meal over the fire. It's close to town so if you need those little extra items, there's a Walmart, Dollar tree and a Dollar General. There's also a few cool places to experience outdoors that are within a 15-20 minute drive. They say it's a work in progress but what was completed was a great experience for me. Thank you to the Cherrywood farm for a great stay!
