Overall. Good hotel with great service and amenities but does not live up to Brazilian 5 stars standard.
Great option for families to spend 2 days while visiting the falls to relax at the pool 24/7. Very close to falls and bird park.
However, the rooms are very small for the price and the food is very expensive and average tasting.
Ideal for foreigners who are willing to pay US prices for food and only visit Foz do Iguaçu once in their life but you will not see any Brazilians (locals).
Positive:
-Great service very pleasant staff. Requested crib at the last minute and they installed it within 10 minutes
- Pool was great and accommodates families and babies. First hotel I go to with a pool opened 24/7!
-Very clean hotel
- Amenities are great (pool, game room, pool, jacuzzi)
- Spa is fair priced (compared to US prices)
- Very comfortable beds
- Pool restaurant food is pleasant and food was good (burgers and fries)
Negative:
- The most disappointing part was the food (restaurant and bar). The hotel does not live up to Brazilian food standard at all - this is why there are very few Brazilian guests. Very few local specialties and the food is very expensive. Not sure who goes to Brazil to enjoy a Swiss fondue or eat spaghetti at a buffet for ~$40 USD. We lived 7 years in Brazil and it was the first time we tried Pineapple juice and Lemon juice that had no taste.
- Got the most luxurious rooms and they were very small.
- Room smelled like urine probably due to humidity
