We loved our stay. Excellent location, and the screened in porch is just lovely. It’s a comfortable property, well stocked, and even though it was too chilly to swim, the pool area and grounds were all well kept.

Short Stay at the Folly Beach

We only got to stay 3 nights (wished it was for the whole week) and very much enjoyed the stay. We loved the 2.5 baths, screened porch and unscreened porch, and kitchen layout and equipment. This was perfect for our brief stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

What a true respite 🦋

I was celebrating my 50+ birthday and this was such a peaceful yet fun place to be. We where able to connect with friends, walk some trails and enjoy the beach. We will Definitely visit again.

Simply Wonderful!

From beginning to end, the experience was wonderful! Once inside, we never stopped smiling! The view of the river, watching the dolphins play, the comfort of the rooms, the ease of getting to Charleston; everything was wonderful!

As advertised

Nice condo and everything was as advertised. Only slight negative was we were denied checking in a couple of hours early even though no one stayed in the condo the night before we checked in. Not the end of the world but had to sit around for 2.5 hours outside waiting for the 4:00 check in.

good views of the folly river and plenty of space for a family of 4. the kitchen cabinets are old and some held together by tape, the outdoor furniture was rusted and flaking. the .9 mile walk to the beach can be a bit much if you are carrying a lot of items. Ok but pricey for what you get

Condo needs work!!!

The condo was filthy. The sliding doors to the balcony flooded the inside with water during rainy days. The bathtub wouldn't drain. The master bedroom bed needs to be replaced, it's worn completely our!!!

Missing essential items

The place overall is nice. However, we did not have garbage bags, laundry pods or soap as stated in the agreement. The kitchen could use more common items (salt/pepper, sugar, foil, etc). These are items you’d prefer to not buy because you won’t use all of it. The carpet throughout the upstairs is rather old. Would be more appealing if hard wood floors! The biggest issue was with the keyless entrance to the complex. It did not work often! Luckily people helped us get in!

Southern Harmony stay 4-3 to 4-10

The changeover from Folly Beach rentals to Vacasa left us with some confusion. A lot of emails previous to our arrival gave us codes for door, and for the security gate: neither of which worked .. I called the local office and had to drive there to collect gate keys and a new door code. Not a big deal, but the photo which we saw and was drawn to the property showed two chairs sitting on a wooden dock, which was not accurate. Overall the unit was clean and no major problems. I would suggest better chairs in the living room area for comfort, perhaps a recliner or two in place of the wicker chairs which were not comfortable. We will consider the area in the future. ‘A’ Rating (and Fine Print Details)

This is a great property, my family of 5 (2 adults, 2 young adults, 1 child) stayed here these past few days. It’s a condo on the top floor (2nd level?) of the building, and the outside steps aren’t too bad. However, I would skip this property if you are traveling with somebody who can’t ambulate well as all of the bedrooms are on the second level of the unit, as well, (though there is a pull out sofa on the main level). The property is right across from the community pool, so nice view from the front, as well. The pictures shown are accurate regarding the view, decor, etc. The balcony on the second level (in the master bedroom) is directly above the one on the main level. I didn’t ask my family about the other beds, but the master bed is very, very soft. You may want to bring a firm pillow, and frankly your own pillows overall. There is a closet shelf full of them, but the majority have stains and need to be cleaned or replaced (this was surprising). The shower liner in the master bathroom has also seen better days. I’m not sure if it’s related to it being the end of tourist season, but a couple deep cleaning fixes/replacements would brighten the place up. There is a cute little shelving unit for a lending library on the second floor, bring books you may want to swap or donate. The property is *very* generous with hand soap, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, and even things like toilet paper and paper towels. ‘Gripes’: There is a hole in the door of the half bath that is near the front door, you may want to check if this has been fixed before you book as it’s an eyesore. My worst ‘complaint’ is that we made meals there and the garbage disposal was broken upon arriving. They were quick to answer when we texted that evening, but we did have to reach out the following day as it had been about 24-hours since the call and we hadn’t heard anything. The problem was resolved.
