Was perfect for our party of 9 high school seniors. Boys on the first floor, girls on the second and a perfect little retreat for us parents on the top floor. Folly was fun for the kids, short distance to pier and shops and restaurants.

Great stay on Folly

Thanks for a great stay, the house was perfect for our group, and we enjoyed walking / golf carting to restaurants and center street.

Wonderful, clean, and close to the Folly downtown area!

Property was super clean and beautiful! Beds are comfy and the location is perfect for walking to the beach or downtown Folly!

Very good location on a quiet street. Only a mile from the bars and restaurants. Plenty of room for the 9 of us. Would stay again.

Quick spring break

The location was perfect. Beautiful view of the river and short walk to the beach. All the amenities you could want to occupy 7 teenage girls. Close to the pier and all of the shops and restaurants on Folly. The girls have already asked to make this an annual trip.

Wonderful House!

The house and the property were lovely and just as described. Our family enjoyed the fire pit and the views from the back deck. The house was very clean and well equipped (kitchen, bathrooms, tvs, and games/puzzles). Our family had a great week on Folly in this house!

Loved it!

Beautiful location

I booked this on a whim and was very pleased with the accommodations. Our group of five adults and two kids under 7 had plenty of space to spread out. The house is a short walk to the beach and a 20 min walk to downtown. We did not have luck catching crab at the crabbing dock, but did catch a few elsewhere. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house to anyone interested.

Made Lots of Memories

We had a great trip! This house was perfect for our family group. The owners communicated with us and were very helpful during our entire stay. This is a large charming older cottage perfectly situated between the inner coastal waterway and the ocean with beautiful views of the sunset. The interior makes you feel as though you have stepped inside a coastal magazine. Thank you for allowing us to stay and make great memories!

Family fun for all

Indoor spacious for all of us. Kitchen a little cozy.Outdoor yard area fun for all. Used grill. played bocce, rode bikes, played in grass. Something for everyone.Enjoyed dock for fishing, crabbing, paddling out.Front steps challenging for getting wagon loads of gear to and from beach.

Great Experience!!

Our stay exceeded our expectations. Everything we neededwas there especially for the kitchen. The layout for the home was perfect for large groups. The backyard was great with the firepit. Nice size deck for outside dining. The pics used to advertise the property were on point. We were not disappointed. I recommend this place for large families/groups. I do not recommend it for persons who have difficulty navigating stairs.

Perfect for extended family visit

We live here in town & just wanted a place for all our friends & family to stay when they came for our daughter’s hs graduation. We rented for a week & had about 10 people in the house on most of the nights with extra beds. The multiple levels make it easy for those that want to go to bed early to do so w/o forcing the rest to have to quiet down too much. The kitchen was well appointed w/quality pots & pans & dishes. All the beds were comfy (twin mattresses could be a little softer, but fine for kids). The fire pit & grill were perfect. We will definitely book again if we need another beach house

Family Reunion

We did not wish for anything. We had 9 adults and teens. Plenty of room for being together or being apart for some quiet time. Even with warm July temperatures we enjoyed sitting on deck with the umbrella raised for shade and watching the tide go in and out. We loved the bocce ball court and were very pleased with using the grill. Mostly we enjoyed walking to the beach. The downstairs hose and shower were handy for rinsing after the beach. The entire house is so cheerful and freshly painted. Love the natural light in the living area.

Wedding Week

The house was a great size for our family. The proximity to the beach was perfect. However, one of the downstairs bedrooms has a full size bed instead of a queen as listed. Also, when the outside shower is in use the water in the faucets inside would not come on. The upstairs suite is beautiful but there was a horrible fishy odor. Also, some kind of animal scratching in the attic kept us awake several nights. A few discomforts for an overall great week for a family wedding in our utopia, Folly beach.

It'll do

The view of the marsh from the deck is gorgeous. Lots of great sunset photos. The path to the crabbing dock could use some maintenance and the dock itself could use some TLC. Multiple dolphin sightings from the deck. The part of the beach the access took us to was beautiful and not insanely crowded even during the week of Memorial Day. If you have to cart a ton of stuff to the beach, expect to add a block to your walk. We had a beach wagon to carry all of the shade tents, chairs, and umbrellas. There's no place to store your beach stuff on the front side of the house - the beach access side, so you have to walk around the block or carry your full wagons up a set of stairs and down another. The outdoor shower is great. Roomy, excellent water pressure and has hot water too! Air conditioning in the master and on the main level worked like a champ. Ground level got a bit muggy. The twin mattresses feel like they're only meant for young light children who can sleep anywhere. We were a group of 10 adult women and nobody in a twin bed slept comfortably. The other beds were very comfortable, but housekeeping needs to make sure the sheets they use are the right size for the bed. The bottom sheet in the master kept popping off the corners. The internet was quite spotty. Even the main TV kept disconnecting. We did report the issue to Vacasa but it never improved, even after rebooting the router. Also, the remote to the TV in the master was missing rendering it useless. Reported to Vacasa and never got a replacement. The owners do provide Netflix and Hulu, so if the internet is working you have access to those streaming apps. The porch light was on the fritz - reported to Vacasa - and wasn't fixed while we were there. Seems like there was an entire circuit out because the outside outlets weren't functional either. There was a housekeeping issue in the basement where some candy had been left under a bed. The ladies sharing that room felt like they were camping. Vacasa offered to send someone, but they decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. The kitchen is quite well stocked - except for forks. Some smaller spoons would be great too. Careful with the stove knobs. They move very easily. The only major issue was lack of room for our groceries. All cupboards and pantries are pretty full. Love the fridge! It kept everything nice and cold. Having the ice maker as an amenity would be a great addition. The living room is a good space for everyone to hang out . The couches are well worn and could use a restuff or replace. Not super comfortable for the length of a whole movie or two. Overall, vacation isn't about the house, it's about the people you spend it with. This house really could be great with some minor improvements.

About Time

This is the second time we have rented About Time. We found the house to be light filled, comfortably furnished and very spacious. The location is great for the beach and downtown Folly. It's a quiet area as well. The house was very clean. We would recommend renting About Time and will likely return next year.

Booked it again!

We loved the space and feel of the home, and the location is great. Short walk to the beach (public access across the street) and a view of the marsh with the crabbing dock. Beautiful views looking out the kitchen towards the marsh. It's a quiet part of the island. A mile or so from the restaurants and shops, which is a short golf cart or bike ride. The house has wonderful space to spread out with all your family and guests. We loved the "beach house" feel. The only issue was the WiFi, which did not reach everywhere, and the cable on the main floor did not work. Hopefully that will be rectified.
