Disappointing
From the outset, the hostess was not communicative or helpful. I sent her a message asking if there was a place we could store our bags because we would be arriving early and asked as well for some suggestions about places to eat and activities nearby. I got a one sentence reply stating the check in policy. I was not asking for an early check in, just some helpful suggestions.
Upon checking in, we found the apartment to be less than clean; we found a pair of men’s underpants on the floor behind the hamper in the bathroom, the shower curtain was disgustingly filthy, and there was lots of dust under the beds.
As far as the location, it is a short walk to the train station, which has a tram to the airport that runs every 20 minutes. Very convenient. However, if you want to visit the city and it’s many attractions, the street right outside is a very busy five street intersection with no crosswalks. Not the managements fault- just something to be aware of.
The kitchen was poorly equipped and at least one pot had no handle. The silver drawer came apart every time we opened it- and I mean came apart. The drawer front pulled right off and we had to put back together after each use.
I would look elsewhere if I were planning a stay in Florence.
