Love Florence!

Right on the river in Florence. Super helpful staff! Yummy breakfast and cool amenities. The room was lovely, clean, comfy and the door opened to the terrace which allowed for a lovely breeze! Highly recommend!

Should you stay here? I wouldn’t. The staff is very kind, but I ultimately had to relocate because I couldn’t continue my stay —even after switching rooms. For $20–$50 more per night, you can find a better hotel. I stayed in rooms 201 and 102, and neither looked as pictured. Both had noticeable excessive wear and tear (chipped surfaces, scuff marks) and felt unclean (dusty surfaces, mold in the shower, and a lingering odor). Pros: • Lovely staff – Helpful and assisted with luggage. • Good location – Overlooks the river and is close to Santa Croce attractions. Cons: • Rooms do not match photos • Noticeable wear and tear • Cleanliness could be improved I appreciated the staff’s efforts, but I wouldn’t stay again.

Perfect little hotel near city attractions

Excellent service, my room was cleaned everyday, great location on the Arno, and lovely breakfast every morning. I will definitely stay there again and seek another Sonder hotel in the next city I visit.

We were very disappointed in the room, a 'ground floor' was actually a basement room, the only window looking up through the hotel maintenance type area- it was noisy, not private and did not feel secure. The room smelt moldy, with poor ventilation. Erica, one of the concierges was wonderful and the hotel's location was good.

Sonetto by Sonder

Hotel is actually in a great area and everything you want to see in Florence is an easy walk to get to. Hotel customer service was amazing and everyone was very helpful. Our room was smaller, but that’s all we needed. If you fancy a larger shower, be sure to book the larger room. Overall, very happy with our experience there.

We were located along the Lungarno and had lovely views from our window. Very safe and beautiful neighborhood. Very convenient location near city center. We walked to most of the sites or able to take a busy easily. The staff were so kind and hospitable. Breakfast fare excellent! For our first trip to Italy has left lasting impression because of the Sonetto.

Great place and location. The staff is very nice and respond quickly. Overall the room is amazing and zo is the view of the river. The only issue is that you can hear the person in the room next to you as if they are in the room with you. The walls are way too thin. Luckily everyone there was very quiet but it still felt a little weird at times hearing literally everything someone else was doing

A pretty guest house with lots of beautifying elements, but missing a few key items. No AC, so open the windows, but no screens, so the mosquitos bite. Very poor WiFi. Weak telephone signal. Our shower wouldn’t drain on first night, but we mentioned that and was improved next day, though still backed up a bit. Staff are young and friendly and try their best to be helpful. Clean and comfortable beds. Big TV with lots of Italian channels plus a few good U.S. streaming service for free. If WiFi was great and screens on windows, or working AC, would book again. Oh - and communication by telephone with hotel in advance of trip was impossible. Sondar needs to unify online telephone numbers and have a working front desk phone that dependably is answered or has an answering machine with English greeting. Very good in baggage storage and advice on finding local stores.
