Disappointing

We have stayed one night in this hotel, however it was sufficient to have an unpleasant experience. The room didn't smell well, the pillows were with a very unpleasant smell and the furniture was old and uncomfortable. There are only two shared bathrooms, that is insufficient considering the number of guests, that will be a problem specially in the morning. The bathrooms were not clean.

We stayed in a private room and really enjoyed how quiet it was. The room had a sink and an awesome view. Airconditioner was working really well and was free to use. Location is fantastic as well. However, it was dirty. When the cleaners came, they never cleaned the bathroom. They only changed the towels on the floor and closed shower doors. The shower was full of hair and dirty, it was really disgusting to shower in the bathroom next to room no. 5.

Great location, spacious rooms, but...

We booked an apartment to ourselves mainly for the kitchen facilities and the apartment was very spacious (can fit up to 6 people). Location was great, close to the station, the duomo, markets, supermarket, shops, etc. Also nice view on the balcony. However on our last day, we decided to come back early afternoon (3pm) to drop some things off before heading out and whilst we were in our apartment, someone tried to open our apartment door with a key (we had the chain on so they couldn't actually come in). When we went and opened the door, they ran down the flights of stairs. The apartment needed another set of keys to open and that door was opened too. When we went to look for staff straight away for an explanation, with hesitation we were told it was another staff member wanting to check the heater in our room...

Perfect location and view

A great welcome from Leonardo who gave us a map and showed us the best places to visit around the city. We had a double room and could lie in bed looking at the Duomo on the skyline, perfect. Lovely cafe next door and supermarket handy too. A great choice.

Cute, little place on the main street

Stayed at Locanda for 2 nights in a 2 person room. The staff were super friendly and the room was clean. I loved that it was right on the Main Street, close to everything. I would definitely stay there again. The price was good for what you got.

We enjoyed our stay at Locanda Daniel. It is a standard hostel near the train station. The real high point of this property is the friendly and help staff.

My mother and I had a wonderful time in Florence! We had a fantastic view of the Duomo from our room balcony and it was a very short/easy walk to everything we needed. The staff was hospitable and the site offered everything we needed!

Only had a little bit dificult when we arrived at night in Florence, coz the hotel don't have name board sign like hotel normaly. Maybe they should have told us before,so we can more easy to looking for even at night

Beautiful apartment

This hostel/apartment was lovely for me because i stayed on the apartment side which faced the courtyard and the beautiful city. It doesn't look like much when you walk in but my apartment was great. Full kitchen and three beds. The shower was nice and roomy and the patio was great.

Two Nights in Florence

Our stay was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly even booking tours and other activities for us. Beds were kind of like Goldilocks (one too soft, one too hard, one in the middle) but I suppose that leaves one for any taste! They also let me keep my bags there after check out to explore the city. Recommended in Florence for the location and value.

Locanda Daniel - Not worth staying

We stayed at this place for one night but it is really cheap guest house or hostel. I don't know how people have given such a high rating. We checked in at about 6 pm , no body was there at reception. we found keys on table as agreed but there is bunch of keys without information which key is for which door. Bed cover sheet are really old and dirty. Extra comforter full of hair! No instruction how to start cook top ( there is a knob for main gas line which was closed) , AC unit operates only via remote but there was no information. The contact person barely understand English and it was very difficult to explain anything. If you want to enjoy, go to different place.

Budget accommodation close to everything

Had some hiccups with our room (new air-con being installed & subsequent loss of hot water), but the staff were great and gave us a discount for our patience. Bit of a hard slug up the stairs if you have big suitcases, but value for money if you're only interested in the sights. Great communication beforehand & late check-in instructions make this an extremely accommodating place to stay. Would recommend to friends!

Very satisfied with this hotel and its owner, Serena. She was kind, understanding and flexible with my check-in. Room and facilities were clean and tidy. Good surrounding neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and amenities nearby. Best be equipped with a GPS to find this hotel as there is no sign or an elevator for your huge luggage. Otherwise, everyone would find their stay here throughly enjoyable in Florence.
