The host gets a 5 star. He was helpful. He kept in touch with us as we drove up from Florida, and sent us the door code. It was COLD and damp outside, and the house was cold inside. We conversed with the owner immediately to get things warmer. We got a portable heater. The house itself was lacking . There diffidently needs repairs and a thorough cleaning. It was well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies, w/d, outside area with grill. Comfortable bed and HOT shower (very much appreciated). I can see this as a “lake house” but not “cozy, warm cabin”. I hope it is rebuilt to be that year round cozy place because the surrounding area is beautiful!

Overall 10/10. Everything was quiet and relaxing. Easy access to 3 beaches. House is immaculate. Clean and organized from top to bottom, with wonderful decor. The back patio is the same way. Perfect place to relax, have a fire and just enjoy. Communication by the property manager was outstanding. Very quick response time, but we also didn't have to reach out that much because we had everything we needed.

My teenage kids and I had a great stay at Nimue Cottage. The hosts respond well to communication without being overly communicative. Jason left incredibly helpful instructions and also a helpful list of things to do in the area and responded promptly to the few inquiries I had. The cottage is in a fantastic location and is peaceful. The cottage kitchen is amply equipped and the area farms and proximity to grocery are convenient and efficient. The walk to the lake beach is short and it's easy to travel to areas of interest in Maine, NH, or MA. The check out instruction and procedures are minimal. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I will definitely consider the cottage (and other listings from this host) the next time we visit!

Perfect place for a relaxing trip

We came to New Hampshire for a family event, and this house did not disappoint. It is absolutely lovely, and was perfect for the 3 of us. There are so many details that were well thought out, and made us feel at home. We had family over one night for dinner and the kitchen was more than well stocked. We did use the fire pit in the backyard one night, it was probably my favorite night. The backyard is absolutely gorgeous. The area is stunning and beyond peaceful. The host was extremely responsive, and the record player was a huge hit! We will definitely be staying here again.

Great family weekend!!!

We stayed close to our son and his growing family, with our younger son and his partner at the house with us. We were pleased to find the house exactly as was listed, and better. It's a lovely home, nice and open, so even if your preparing food your all still together. The directions sent to us were great, and there was a guide provided to refer to.A good time had by all, and lots of memories to take home with us. Thank you very much!

Great space, professional host

The Cottage is a lovely place to stay. It’s little, but it’s clean (unlike many rentals), cute, charming, and functional. The neighborhood is quiet, secluded, and safe. I’ve stayed at many rentals, and Jason is far and away the most professional host I’ve ever worked with. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here! Highly recommend.

Perfect for Us and our K-9.

This cute little cottage house was perfect for us. Our children and grandchildren even visited a couple of times and enjoyed a day playing at the lake. This house is equipped for small children as well as your fur babies. They had toys for the toddlers and cozy dog bed for our dog. We were in want of nothing and had a very enjoyable time. This cottage is very clean well furnished and has every item you could ever need. Jason was quick to reply to texts. Every thing was well explained in the book concerning check-in and out plus local sites to explore. Thank You Jason I plan on spending more time in the future at Numi's cottage.

Awesome Getaway

I truly enjoyed my stay here. The house is clean, bright and full of amenities (they even have a record player and lots of records). Check in and check out was simple. The whole setup is open and inviting. Even though there were neighbors on both sides, it was secluded enough for us to enjoy some rest and relaxation. We were able to see the lake from the front window, which was really nice. The owner was very kind and accommodating, and his responses to any questions I had were fast. Overall, this is a great family or even couples retreat that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for some rest and relaxation.

Wonderful cottage near Baxter Lake

Lovely cottage just short walk to Baxter Lake. Nice decoration touches and extra amenities including games, coffees, tea, spices, etc. Great outside seating, grill, and lighting. Quiet neughborhead. Great for walks. Jason was incredibly responsive!

Fun, clean, and good location

My wife and I wanted a nice long-weekend getaway and found this fun little house. It is located comfortably in a nice, quiet, perfectly safe neighborhood, perfect for day trips in every direction. Although there is no "beach" directly near the house (it's a small boat launch area), there are beaches within nearby driving distances. There are also plenty of nearby towns that offer fun activities. So if you don't mind driving a little or just relaxing at the house itself, then this place is perfect. Both my wife and i truly enjoyed the surroundings and warm fun atmosphere there.

Excellent stay at Baxter Lake

This is an adorable cottage on Baxter Lake with clean, fun decor and every amenity you could need for your stay. The home is exactly as the photos show. The owners clearly put lots of thought into making their guests feel at home. There were plug-in fans in both bedrooms, super comfortable beds, tv options ready to go and a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of convenient items like baggies, a kettle and even a Brita in the fridge. We really appreciated the full size washer and dryer and available detergent too. While we didn’t use the record player, I appreciated the trip down memory lane with their extensive album collection. What a fun thing to have in a rental! Josh was very helpful and extremely quick to respond to my messages. He was in touch before our very smooth check in with our unique code for the doors. We loved this property and highly recommend it!

Cute Little Forest Home

We really enjoyed staying here. The property is exactly as it appears in the photos. The home is well maintained and has been updated. It is also pretty accessible for seniors. My husband and I have booked many properties using VRBO over the past 10 years at different price points and this was in our top 5 for value. Thanks for a wonderful stay! My daughter was super impressed with the vinyl record collection.

Amazing Host, Home and location

From the time we made reservations until the day we left the host were amazing. The home was spotless and so comfortable which made you feel at home. The location is conveniently located close enough to major attractions and yet a nice relaxing area. The lake offers so many activities for the whole family.
