Rooms not ready by 4pm advertised check in time. Nothing offered for compensation. Showed up at 3:50 to check in. They advised it would be at least an hour before the room was ready. I asked if they could call me when it was. No call by 6:30 and I went back and it turned out to be ready. Received a call an hour after I had checked in advising our room was ready. Terrible check in experience. Was not the only guest that was told their room wasn’t ready either. Sheets were clean. Beds were very comfortable. were fairly clean. Floor/Bathroom/Shower were not as clean. The steam room wasn’t working. The sauna didn’t get warmer than 40 degrees. The pool deck was filthy including the steps to the water slide. The pool water was clean. The outside area (fire pits, games area and tables) looked very clean and well kept. I would probably sta

We loved the hotel, and it’s obvious that they really try to keep high standards. There’s a few imperfections, but there’s also a few nice newer touches as well. The staff was exceptional! Our dog was treated like a king everywhere, even went to his first pub! Nice patio with a gorgeous view from our room, with very comfortable beds and pillows. There’s a great little bakery down the street and fun place to walk around. We would stay again.

The renovation is great, lobby very nice, great pool area if you have kids, I was looking for a hot tub post golf game and hot tub is not yet operational (was told same when I stayed there in Feb for snow shoeing). We were given room 306 - opens up to beer vendor entrance (gross view) and the place where staff smoke so we could not open the door or window unless we wanted to smell cigarette smoke. Also were disappointed the upstairs restaurant wasn't open (apparently it is never open Monday, yet there was a large group function going on??), bar didn't seem appetizing or staffed so we ended up back at the golf course to eat which was fine. Given the price and experience, we decided we would go on to Kenora and try the hotel there next time, or just drive back to Winnipeg.

Location was great for getting to the beach area and close to the local small town. All within walking distance. Enjoyed the backyard setup. Fun games to play and nice fire pits to sit around. The indoor pool area could use some fixing up still. Also wish the bathroom doors had locks on them. Otherwise it was a great stay and staff was wonderful.
