We had a nice multi-generational stay at this home which is very well located for adventures in Door County. We loved Ellison Bay - a fairly quiet community with a small beach and park (both walkable though if you’re taking beach chairs and equipment, you’d probably want a car). We highly recommend the onion rings at Mink River Basin and almost anything from the Blue Bear for brunch - both a short walk from the house. And then it was a quick drive to Seaquist Orchards (pick up some cherries) and Sister Bay (the Creamery had amazing ice cream). The deck space is lovely with a cowboy pool, a hot tub and a sauna (we found the sauna difficult to use but it might have just been us). One bedroom is directly off the kitchen so be aware of that from a noise perspective. And the bathroom on the first floor can only be accessed from that bedroom by walking through the kitchen. We liked the game room above the garage, especially with it having a full bathroom. The master bedroom upstairs had a very squeaky bedframe, hopefully that will be replaced. While the host was responsive to the issues that we encountered, there were a few delays in hearing back and lots of requests for more information, photos and videos. It wouldn’t make me hesitate before booking again.
