Good place for overnight stay when on a long travel. Very close to motorway, good breakfast available from 6 am, check in possible very late. Good value for money.

Good value for short stays.

Having stayed in a Budget Ibis in Poland the night before, my expectations were not high, but they were surpassed. This hotel is good value, it is a budget hotel so don't expect any frills. The rooms are basic and functional, ideal for stopping over on a journey, rather than long stays. The staff were friendly and even waived our 3 Euro parking fee as we were transporting aid to Ukraine. Breakfast was nice, a good selection of alternatives for all tastes. The only point I found a little odd was having a nice big double bed to myself, but with a single pillow and a small single duvet. Some people may find the rooms a little chilli, but it was perfect for me.

Left stranded

Complete shambles. Due to no fault of our own we was late to check in. ( Motorway accident). Pressed the buzzer in the main entrance to gain entry and was created with a voice telling us check in was closed and closed at midnight. Tried the buzzer again and it was never answered. Spent the night in the car. Considering this is an international chain the service was completely unacceptable.

Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. However be warned the hotel is outside of Eisenach, with nothing around except a supermarket over a kilometer away. Despite this we were charged for parking, as well as a city tax.

Typically Ibis.

Typical Ibis motel - situated out of town, but easily accessible from a main route and close to a supermarket. Despite having a food menu in the room, there was no food available in the evening. This caused us a bit of a pain as we were relying on their listed Thiringerwurst. Ended up driving into Eisenach and eating at the excellent Kartoffelhaus. Overall, an acceptable stay, but nothing to write home to your Auntie Nelly about.

Nice hotel in Eisenach close to Wartburg castle

Nice hotel just outside Eisenach town. You need car to move as it is in the outside of the town, but it is close to the town to drive for groceries or dinner / breakfast. The hotel offers breakfast for an additional fee, but we didn't eat there. Spacious free parking, good size room and no issues with the WiFi. The room was clean and everything seems to work OK. The TV is a little small and the bed a little hard for my taste, but it was a great stay. The lady in the reception speaks English, and was helpful to assists with a few questions. There is no elevator and had to carry the luggage to the second floor, and you will have to pay additional 1.5 euros per person for city tax. This hotel made a good and relaxing stop in our way to Leipzig and it is just 15 minutes from the Wartburg castle which made a very nice visit the next day

Excellent value stay

Clean and tidy room. Wifi reception not very good in room. Great breakfast, and wonderful friendly service. Fantastic value for money overall. A bit far out from Eisenach centre, just need to be aware of this, but not a problem if you have a car.

great overnighter

1 night stopover en route to Chemnitz. The room was fairly simple, as expected from an Ibis Hotel, but the bed was super comfy, the internet was reliable, and the staff were very friendly. Perfect for an overnight stop.

The room was very clean and the reception was nice. The layout of the hotel is inconvenient and we had to walk up a few flights of stairs and through many glass doors with our luggage before getting to our room. We could exit the doors that were closer to our room but had to enter the long way every time. The room is very basic and fine for what we needed for a last minute stay in the area.

Rude staff, not much for the money

This hotel should be cheaper considering where ir is and the quality of service. The staff are rude and hostile, and, typically of service in ex-DDR, uninterested in making a customer's stay pleasant. Unfortunately, there are not too many options in this otherwise lovely town, but I would hesitate to stay in this hotel again mainly because of the unbelievably rude staff.

Standard ibis Hotel

The hotel is located just 10 minutes outside the town of Eisenach and close to the airfield. The room was large and spacious for my needs and the wifi was free. I stayed 5 nights and although the bed was made I do not think they changed the sheet during my stay. Also the bathroom was only given a light clean and the sink still had splash marks from the previous day so not wiped or cleaned. No air conditioning and during the hot weather you can only open the window and then you get noise from outside. I did not have the breakfast so cannot comment. Price was good considering the location

Ibis Eisenach - Inexpensive but out of town

A nice place but it cost 10 EU taxi to go to the train staton. So the $20 EU per day to go to town added almost as much as if we'd stayed in town.
