This was an apartment-style hotel that was in a quieter area in the city but still within a 30-minute walking distance of all the places I had planned for my trip to Edinburgh (I love walkable cities, so this is not a disadvantage at all lol) + within a 5-minute walking distance to a convenient bus stop. All of the staff I encountered were friendly & accommodating, & I loved that there was a little café downstairs. It was clean & aesthetic, & I plan to stay at more Locke hotels in the UK + Europe!

Good location . Only once a week housekeeping despite being very expensive . Did not like motion activated lighting in otherwise dark hallways . Did not like being told the late checkout fee was 30 pounds to stay an extra 2 hours . Did not like paying the late checkout fees but finding our cards had been deactivated at normal checkout time so we could not enter our room or use elevator until we once again had to visit front desk

Loved our stay. A beautiful property, with all the amenities you need. The washer/dryer was the best for us since we were on a long trip. The area was quieter than staying in Old Town but still had tons of restaurants and shops.

We encountered many issues with our reservation - from the property advertising that they have AirCon, but it only being in certain rooms, from being misled about room availability time, to a loud group across the hall, and finally no staff available for over 30 minutes when we needed to pickup our luggage from storage, this was an incredibly disappointing experience for a 4 star hotel. The hotel was clean and in a great location, but I would not recommend a stay in Eden Locke. The staff did very little to rectify the issues we had, also, both during the stay and after it. To be avoided.

Eden Locke exceeded expectations! It was in a good location for us, away from the summer crowds but in walking distance of most activities on the Royal Mile. There were good restaurants on that main street. . The room/studio was clean and comfortable. I appreciated the extra touches like providing an umbrella, which was used. I would return to Eden Locke again!

Great location and very cozy and convenient rooms. Rhea and Paul are great baristas, bartenders and very knowledgeable about the Edinburgh bars and restaurants.
