The Starlight Riverfront Lodge is a lovely option if you are looking to enjoy the peace of the river and spend time outdoors. The setting is beautiful, and the hot tub was clean, spacious, and very enjoyable.Inside, however, the home felt quite dated. The beds were not very comfortable, and we were unable to use the upstairs shower due to a plumbing issue. While the owner did offer to address it, we were only there briefly and ended up using the downstairs shower, which was inconvenient with six people. My daughter also cut her foot on a nail sticking up at the top of the stairs, which we were able to secure ourselves.It appears the property was recently purchased in June, so it is understandable that updates may be planned or in progress. The home could benefit from updated furniture, additional amenities, and a more modern, refreshed interior overall. A clearer house guide would also be helpful, including where to find items like snow shovels, as well as having sand or salt available during winter months to reduce the risk of slipping, which could otherwise be a safety concern.That said, if you are mainly looking for a place to sleep while spending most of your time enjoying the outdoors and the river, and are less concerned about the interior, this lodge could still be a good fit.
