NEWLY RENOVATED OCEAN VIEW PATIO for Nov 25. boasts the best view of any house along the beach in Drake Bay. This comfortable getaway has two bedrooms, and is steps away from 10 restaurants and 4 markets. New appliances and furniture make this place a true retreat. Scarlet Macaws, Iguanas, Anteaters and a host of colorful birds visit the property daily.

Hike into the Corcovado, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet, or lounge on many beaches along the coast trail. The house is private, yet right in the center of town for your convenience and comfort.

Free WIFI

Tours, fishing and scuba diving can be booked through Debra when you make your reservation. The kitchen is fully stocked with a microwave, range, coffeepot, refrigerator, pots and pans so you can cook meals if you chose.
We also have a washer and dryer.

The view was amazing, and the place was well-equipped with all the amenities you could need—especially for the beach and cooking.The only suggestion I would make is improving ant control. Also, adding steps down to the ocean would make this property truly exceptional.

Jose the concierge was the only redeeming factor, and the deck. The house is really old and run down, smelled like really bad disinfectant, the bathroom was the source of that smell, but the worst part was the amount of noise from trucks and motorcycles going by my window - 3:45AM and then from 5AM on … no sleep, left early, very disappointed. Drake Bay needs to insist on mufflers or electric vehicles. So bad!

Clean, Comfortable Home with a Million-Dollar View and Attentive Hosts

My family is so glad that we chose this property for our three-night stay in Bahía Drake! The house was spotlessly clean and included everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and there were more than enough outlets for charging all of our devices. The Wi-Fi worked well, when we needed it. The outside space is beautiful and comfortable and the view of Drake Bay is absolutely stunning! Getting to Drake Bay wasn’t easy, but once we arrived, we discovered that Binya House was in the perfect location with easy access to everything in town (including the beach from which many of the Corcovado tour boats launch). Things to note:- The host, Debra, and the onsite property manager, José, are incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive.- The home includes gated off-street parking, which is a huge plus given Drake’s narrow streets.- The A/C units are located in both bedrooms. There is a twin bed in the common room (no A/C), but we were easily able to fit it in a bedroom so that we could all sleep with A/C.- Although the listing mentions washer/dryer and they are included in photos of the property, they are no longer available for guest use. However, there is a laundromat right across the street and the caretaker also offered to help us with our laundry.- During our stay, the power to the whole town went out for a couple of hours. The hosts couldn’t control that, but they quickly provided candles and insights to help us stay comfortable.100% recommend!

Binya House Adventure

This property was in a central location with a great view. It was clean and was stocked with some basic items that were very helpful, such as oil, sugar, vinegar, and coffee. The air conditioning was important since it stayed very hot, even at night. Be forewarned that there was warm water for the shower, but not for anything else. That's just how it is in a small, remote village. The experience was worth it. Nearby restaurants were not expensive and they were all excellent. We cooked on the grill at the house a couple of nights, and that was great too. Jose booked our tours and taxis and was a great help. He was easy to contact since he lived in another cottage on-site. I would highly recommend this property for those who are okay with something more adventurous than a hotel.

Excellent location & comfortable home

We loved our stay in Drake’s Bay - Debra’s home is very comfortable and has everything you need for a fantastic stay. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms have lots of storage room and the AC works very well in each room. We loved sitting outside with the fabulous view over the bay, especially at sunset. The house is perfectly located for day tours to Corcovado, only minutes walk to the boat pick up and drop off. Also there are many great restaurants nearby in walking distance, Kalaluna Bistro was one of our favourites! Jose was a great help and there for when we had any questions. The house was exceptionally clean and peaceful. Would recommend staying here for anyone looking to explore Drake’s Bay and Corcovado. Thank you Debra for everything!

Amazing Views

The view overlooking Drake Bay is amazing. The house was clean and well furnished. Air conditioners work great. Lots of foliage between the home and the beach so I got some good bird photos from the yard, even a couple hummingbirds. Jose was our contact person and met us at the home on arrival, he was easy to contact with using Whatsapp and even helped us book a night tour in Drake Bay (highly recommended). Restaurants and stores all within a couple minute walk. The pickup points for Corcovado boats and beach are also just a couple minute walk. We loved it here and would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed the responsiveness of the owner, close location, great view, comfortable beds, easy kitchen and Jose (on site ) was extremely helpful and attentive. We did figure out the hot water in the shower but it is not something we were familiar with. I may have missed the explanation but I think something in the bathroom would be helpful.

This is a quaint little old beach house. It is nothing fancy, but comfortable with a lovely view. There is not much to walk and see, but there are a few restaurants and markets close to meet your needs. It is also an easy walk to the beach where all the boats pick-up and drop-off. We enjoyed a gorgeous 360 degree sunset the last night from this amazing vantage point.

Great house in a wonderful town

This place was fantastic. The view of Drake Bay from the back lawn was beautiful. The location is in the heart of town, just a short walk up the road gets you to the two grocery markets and a quick walk down the hill gets you to the beach. The host, Kim, was incredible and helped us book tours to Corcovado and Isla Cano. Drake Bay is an incredibly amazing town, quiet and peaceful compared to other destinations in Costa Rica and this house was a perfect place for us to stay to enjoy. Can’t wait to go back

Drake Bay is a very small town, and this house is right in the middle of it, within a very short walk to the stores and restaurants, and overlooking the Bay. Other available properties are immersed more within the jungle canopy, amid the trees and animals, but farther from town. All options, including this one are great. It is a trade off though. I did expect to see more wildlife at this home, but saw very little other than hummingbirds. Loved the washer/dryer, kitchen, air conditioning, affordability, property owner, and location. Spoke to many locals and tour guides. They all knew this house and owner. They all had very good things to say about this owner and her contributions to the community.

Wonderful property with great ocean views

We had a wonderful stay here. Great location, very comfortable house. Beautiful ocean and sunset views and everything we could possibly need in the cupboards. very helpful host. Great stay in Drake Bay

Took two of my young teenagers to Drake Bay. The house is located on the tiny beach “cliff” over looking Drake Bay. The location is very convenient to the Grocery stores, hiking trails and restaurants. Drake Bay is a very quiet, small village and is a good adventure. The small house setup is good with two bedrooms - each with split unit ACs and open kitchen/sitting area. The hosts met us at the beach, as we took the boat from Sierpe. They helped with our luggage and drive the minute to the house. They were very knowledgeable of the area, offered great advice and can setup up tours.

Binya House is in a great location, with amazing views of the ocean. The beds were comfortable and AC was great! Eric was so helpful with scheduling tours to Corcovado and snorkeling.

Fantastic!

For the second year in a row we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Binya house. The location of the property is perfect, just above the bay with only a few steps into town. The house is clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary provisions. We loved watching sunset over the bay and having morning coffee on the patio with gorgeous birds galore. Drake is a nature lover’s paradise and we will absolutely be back to stay at Binya house!

Excellent place for drake by

Clean, well located and fabulous view! Very adventurous area-we went to the cocovado Park, fishing and snorkeling with Eric, on a 5 am bird tour, a trip through the mangroves and 2 hikes to corcolito beach! Our favourite restaurant was Roberto’s as it was delicious and open to the ocean breeze. We ate in the house 4 times as the À/C makes it so comfortable in the evenings.

Binya house

Binya House was the perfect place to stay in Drake Bay. It was clean and comfortable and the view was amazing. It is right in town so we were able to immerse ourselves in the local flavor of the town and people. Eric was a great Dive master and a wonderful help in booking tours and giving us information. Great house in Drake Bay

We loved staying at Binya House. Drake Bay area is so unique and beautiful. The house overlooks the bay and the back yard has beautiful views of the water and coastline. Lots of birds and flowers around. The house is vey comfortable and decorated so beachy / funky fun with bright colors and tile floors. The house was great for the four of us, plenty of room, roomy bedrooms kept cool with AC, nice little kitchen and dining area. We spent most of our time outside exploring the area. We met many wonderful friendly people. Franklin who picked us up at airport and took us back there was an awesome driver and what a ride! Hank filled us in on the house and the area and Eric set us up for our trip to Corcovado. Everyone we met in the village and the restaurants were so friendly and helpful. Kalaluna was our fav restaurant We saw lots of wildlife and birds everywhere. It was the end of the rainy season so it was wet, but it’s warm rain and no big deal. Loved it, would stay there again if we get back to that area.

Unique experience

I want to start by saying Drake Bay is a unique and beautiful place to visit however it is very much 3rd world country there. The home was clean and sufficient but the rooms had a very damp smell. The water for the entire town comes straight from the mountain so twice we were without water for a while. The people in town are very friendly and we felt safe the entire time. We enjoyed seeing iguanas, parrots and monkeys literally 30’ from our door. The location is very remote so for the minimal amount of options to stay at, it appeared that this home was the best choice. I will say that the views from the home are priceless!! Absolutely breathtaking!

The BEST place to stay in Drake Bay

You cannot find a better place to stay in Drake Bay than right here! First, location in travel is so important. This house is a short walk (2 to 5 minutes) from everything in Drake Bay. Whether that's going to a grocery store, a restaurant, or starting your tour for the day. Second, Eric, your very own "concierge", located next door, is right there to make sure you have everything you need while in Drake Bay. He runs the dive shop and water tours and is an amazing dive master and guide if you want to do some scuba diving or snorkeling or whale/dolphin watching while in town. It's also a great comfort to know that after traveling to a remote location far from home, someone is there to ensure you have a fun and safe stay. And Debra was in contact with us the whole time, checking in to make sure we had what we needed. Lastly, but not least, the house itself is very comfortable and a welcome sanctuary to rest and recover from your adventures. Exactly as advertised, you have a beautiful, fantastic view of the ocean and bay, surrounded by a wall of flowers, giving you privacy. AC in both bedrooms keep the place cool and comfortable on even the hottest and most humid day. If you are looking for a safe haven in the jungle as your base for adventuring in and around Drake Bay, or just a wonderful place to relax and unwind, we cannot recommend this house more highly.

Great location!

This house was great! Perfect location within easy walking distance to all you need (markets, restaurants, etc). View from the house was awesome. House was clean and very functional. Communication with Debra was great. She assisted in booking all our tours which made our time there very easy. Check in was simple with Eric who met us at the beach after our boat ride from Sierpe. Would recommend a day in Corcovado - saw lots of animals (Sirena station). Night tour was fun as was a day out with Eric on the boat for snorkeling and whale/dolphin watching. We had an wonderful few days here and would highly recommend the house and this area of Costa Rica.
