Great Weekend at the Redbud Holiday House

I booked the Redbud Holiday House for a long weekend and golf trip for 8 'old' guys. We wanted enough beds and bathrooms so everyone had their own space. This is a fantastic property! We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was. The pictures do not do this property justice. It is a massive house. I wish we booked a longer stay. The roof-top deck was great for morning coffee (and evening retreat). The kitchen was large enough to cook for everyone, with guests hanging out around the massive island. We also made use of the Webber grill and firepit in the yard. The location is also a few blocks to the water and to downtown Douglas. Saugatuck is less than a mile. Rent this place if you get a chance!

Absolutely PERFECT!

We rented this property for my daughter's wedding weekend. WAe cannot say enough wonderful things about Sebastian (property owner). They were incredibly kind and welcoming. The property is the nicest and cleanest VRBO that we've ever stayed at! We plan to return next summer and enjoy this lovely home for vacation.

My friends and I stayed here for a wedding we had in Saugatuck and it was gorgeous! Easy drive to everything, and Sebastian was extremely attentive and communicative. Everyone was very pleased with the home and would definitely stay there again!

Large, Comfortable Douglas House

Our multigenerational family enjoyed our visit in Douglas. The house has lots of room. It is very convenient to walk to downtown restaurants, playground, library, and the cove. The outdoor space is limited, and gets a lot of road noise from the Blue Star highway. The kitchen is very well equipped, and we appreciated the ample cleaning supplies. Two laundry machines made it easy to keep up with an active group of kids. The owner provided a very helpful house manual, which answered all of our questions.

Fabulous Family Fun

This was perfect for our family with 4 en suite rooms with king size beds. Another room with three beds for the kids and a final king size bedroom with hall bath. No adult had to cram into a small bedroom or share a bathroom. Location was great. Easy walk to downtown Douglas. A nice stretch of legs to Saugatuck. We spent many hours around the fire pit chatting or reading on the front porch or balcony. Spacious well appointed kitchen to make family meals. Super week. Looking forward to staying next year.

A comfortable home with lots of family space: large eating area for 20+ at three tables, a separate library, and a lower level TV/Game room with toys for little ones and a large table for grownup talk and games. Situated in the woods so it stays cooler on the hottest days.

Annual Family Memorial Weekend Trip

We loved our stay at The Redbud Holiday House in Douglas! It was perfect for our family of 14. Close to town, parks and the beach. Plenty of room to enjoy a great time with our family! Beautiful new home! We have been enjoying Memorial Weekend trips with our family in Michigan for several years, and this is arguably our favorite place so far! I would highly recommend this home!

We rented this house for a wedding party so we could enjoy the weekend together. Having all rooms with dedicated bathrooms, the outdoor space and overall size and layout was phenomenal! Had a wonderful time at Rosebud this weekend. House is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need. Perfect location, 5 min walk to downtown Douglas, 15 min walk to downtown Saugatuck and a great wine art gallery across the street. Douglas parade did not disappoint! Highly recommend.

Fantastic property!!!

The Redbud Holiday House is a GEM!!! Our group of 8 women go on a wine weekend every year and this house was our favorite one we’ve stayed at in our many years of doing this. It’s beautifully decorated, centrally located and made us feel right at home! They thought of everything! If we ever come back to the Douglas/Saugatuck area, we will stay here again, without a doubt! The art on the walls is beautiful, the beds and pillows are amazing, the furniture is wonderful, the kitchen is fully stocked, there are TWO sets of washers and dryers, the fire pit was so nice, we played games in the basement and the huge kitchen island was the perfect gathering spot for snacking after walking around town. We just can’t say enough nice things about this place! Thanks to Sebastian for providing such a wonderful place and for also giving us a suggestion of a bakery to order a cake for a celebration! Great for family!

This beautifully appointed home was the perfect location for our three-generation family to gather for a week of rest and relaxation. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and spaces to be together. The kitchen is large enough to accommodate multiple cooks. Highly recommend!

Super Awesome House & Location!

Our group stayed over Memorial Day Weekend and LOVED this property! Spacious, well-appointed, perfect for a large group of 5 moms and teenage daughters. Very walkable to downtown Douglas, and a little longer walk across the bridge to downtown Saugatuck. We listened to live music at the Red Dock Cafe, walked around and shopped in downtown Douglas, and took an afternoon cruise on the Star of Saugatuck. We also walked to Douglas Beach one day with a stop at Outside Coffee in Woosah Outfitters. We roasted marshmallows in the firepit at the house and played games that we found stocked in the basement. The owners are super friendly and provided very helpful info about the house ahead of our arrival. We would highly recommend this home for a family reunion or large group gathering. We will be booking again for sure!
