Castle Trosky, Český ráj, Czech republic

Trosky is a castle ruin located some 10 km south of Semily, Liberec Region in a natural reservation region called Český ráj (=Bohemian paradise) making a landmark of jt. It is one of the most famous Czech castles and is situated on the summits of two basalt volcanic plugs. On the lower peak (47 m) is the two-storey structure called Baba (Old Woman), and on the higher outcrop (57 m) is the four-sided structure known as Panna (Virgin, in the picture). 
It was built in 1380 and was used for a century. It is a ruin since 1648 when it was burned down during the Thirty years war. Since 1928 a propery of the Club of Czech tourists and a popular tourist spot.

Vyhlídka na Kapelu, Hrube rocks, Bohemian Paradise, Czech republic

Bohemian Paradise (=Český Ráj) is a nature reserve protected area established in 1955 and it is located in North Bohemia. It has a varied country side with plenty of first and beech surrounding wonderful sandstone rock formations. The water, wind and frost erosion has left many uniquely shaped rock towers having up to 60 meters of height and these are a popular place for Czech rock climbers for decades. 

View of the main part of Hrube rocks in Bohemian Paradise. It is called View of the Orchestra. The Orchestra is the group of the sandstone towers on the left, with one needle standing before them, which is called the Dirigent.

Bohemian Paradise (=Český Ráj) is a nature reserve protected area established in 1955 and it is located in North Bohemia. It has a varied country side with plenty of fir and beech forrests surrounding wonderful sandstone rock formations. The water, wind and frost erosion has left many uniquely shaped rock towers having up to 60 meters of height and these are a popular place for Czech rock climbers for decades.
A rock called Lighthouse is one of them in an area called by the same name (Lighthouse) in Hrubé rocks region.
